Total knee replasement in Sept. 2009. Very poor job. I've endured 17 months of pain and the in ability to flex it. Nothing but excuses from the Dr., then in Feb. 2010, 5 months later, he files bankruptcy. I just had it redone at Stanford, another $3000 deductible out of my pocket.Personally, I would not let Dr. Bernabe within 10 miles of me

Dr. Bernaby is knowledgeable and stays up-to-date on the latest in hip and knee replacement. My pain was minimal for 3 procedures: hip and 2 knees. I recovered more quickly than I expected. I am very pleased and this is also corroborated by 3 friends who have had replacement surgery by Dr. Bernaby

He found the break in my scaphoid bone almost 4 years ago, but totally screwed up when he put the screw in wrong. Not once did he acknowledge his mistake, nor would he even touch my wrist after surgery. He blew off every complaint I made, even though it was obvious there was a problem. I have since had to have 3 bones and all the nerves in my wrist removed because the scaphoid bone died when he screwed up. I now have little to no use of my left hand now...and I was left-handed before. My life has been completely changed because of his incompetence. DO NOT GO TO HIM!

I have been a patient of Dr. Bernabe's since 2006. He has cared for me through four surgeries and is a wonderful doctor. Did bilateral knee replacement surgery for me. Perfect! Two of my surgeries were quite complicated - I don't know how many other surgeons could have handled them as well as Dr. Bernabe did. His support staff is always kind and helpful. I consider the entire staff as friends. I recommend him and his staff to all my friends and co-workers. Two other members of my family are also his patients.

Ruined my left knee three years ago. Quick to diagnose and schedule surgery. Mild pain before surgery, severe pain after and I now have a limp that I did not have prior to surgery because of the damage to my knee. I am now facing total knee replacement at age 46 because of the cartilage damage he did to my knee. Stay away from Bernabe.

Dr. B performed my husband's knee surgery about 2 years ago, when my knee started to be bothersome, I knew the orthopedic doctor I wanted to be seen by. Last week I had my surgery and Dr. B was superb. He has an awesome bedside manner and called my husband immediately after my surgery. For a surgeon to do this personally, I feel is above and beyond. The staff at Dr. B's office also deserve some credit as they were extremely helpful to me in my spouses surgery and follow-up care and again to myself this time around.

This is the best Dr. by far in the central valley. We are so lucky to have him. He is extremely helpful and informative and has provided myself and my family with wonderful care and surgical outcomes over the last 5 years.

This Doctor is the worst Doctor ever he has messed up my knee for live and i am only 28. He doesn't take the time to listen to the patients all he wants to do is get you into surgery to get as much money as possible. He doesn't know how to write a prescription he would of overdosed me if the pharmisist wouldn't of caught it and then when something does go wrong instead of talking to you about it he will send in his wife to talk to you and she doesn't have any medical back ground please for your sake do not go to him.
