Dr. Szlyk is the most compassionate Doctors I have ever met. He is very knowledgeable and a great Surgeon. I highly recommend him.

Seems hurried and rushed. If you are looking for a doctor with a bedside manner and caring, you may want to look further.

Great doctor... trust him to take good care. I had surgery a month ago and dr Szlyk keep me and my family informed throughout the procedure. i would higly recommend him.

Prostate biopsy. Competent. Follow up visit one week later. Last appointment of the day to discuss results. Walked in, told me news was bad - had prostate cancer. Gave copy of my biopsy results, literature of web sites scheduled bone and CT scans. Lots of questions but he was obviously in a hurry. Couldn't come back for month - out of country one month. Said I could call for results of scans. Called 4 times-never got return calls. One time a nurse did call to tell me he was out of the office that day and I said it was not a problem and he could call the next day. He never called. I ultimately made an appointment at Johns Hopkins and had amazingly better patient care. Was never rushed. Phone calls and emails promptly returned. After that experience I canceled my appointment with Szlyk because I realized I would never use him for surgery. When I canceled they asked when I wanted to reschedule. I said there was no reason. Only then did he call.

I can't say enough about Dr. Szlyk. He truly impressed me. He spent a lot of time with me before surgery and answered all my questions in a very patient manner. He called me at home before the surgery himself and called me when I was in the hospital himself. He spent time with my family after my surgery. I highly highly recommend him.
