I saw Dr. McMenamin for 7 years, and I liked him because he was straightforward and actually cared about a patient's health. I know he was eccentric but I have nothing negative to say about him and during a time of unemployment, he only charged me $20 for a visit.

We had noticed this doctor unravelling for some time. His arrest yesterday on 5 charges of porn dissemination and 17 counts of possession of child pornography explains a lot. If he knew he was under investigation and charges were likely coming down, that would explain why his actions less than two weeks ago were so bizarre. He seemed to be either on the verge of a breakdown, or we speculated, maybe he had a substance abuse problem. He danced around the room shouting, he held my husband's head between his palms, he talked jibberish, he was completely inappropriate. Had my husband not needed a doctor's signature for back surgery, he definitely would have walked away. We knew Dr. Mcmenamin was extremely eccentric and we only went to him when we couldn't see our regular doctor from that practice, but this was beyond the pale. Having said all this, every other doctor in this practice is exceptional. Dr. Mcmenamin has been suspended and is in jail. Don't let one bad apple spoil ....!

I completely agree with all the negative comments here. My son just told me about the horrifying experience he had with Dr. McMenamin. My son is 19 years old, and is very open with me he was having some issues similar to a UTI or bladder infection. I advised him to go to the doctor after I had given him the insurance information. Obviously, the genital region is a concern for most people, and Dr. M. did not make any attempt to comfort my son or make the appointment any less awkward than it needed to be. Dr. McMenamin accused my child of hiding this visit from his parents and according to my son, was completely rude and accusatory. Stay away if you have the option.

This man is awful, rude and, condescending! I'm in my 30s and went with my 60 year old mother for an appointment because she was very ill but not enough to warrant an ER visit. While she was going through her symptoms, he told her to "speak up because she wasn't in the New York Times headlines today" and actually said "boo hoo". I thought at first he was trying to be funny but it just went downhill from there. He made both of us feel like we coming in for nothing. I really wanted to give him a piece of my mind about his unprofessionslism but I didn't want to create drama especially while my mom wasn't feeling well. I told my husband who is a MD and he was livid. My husband was appalled by Dr. McMenamin's bedside manner and urged my mom to leave the practice and write a letter which we plan to do. Stay away from him!

I have been a patient of the practice for over 15 years - because of the convience. Just went in a couple of weeks ago for a skin tag that wouldn't heal properly ..right away Dr McMenamin did surgery gave me 5 stitches the results came back not cancer. I come in to get the stitches removed and he acuses me and other patients of reading the internet and thinking falsely of having all these diseases. After he was the one that pushed for me to have the surgery. He is a very strange doctor to say the least. All that pain I went through and itching after the healing - I am trying a different doctor in the practice.

absolutely the worst. My son has type 1 diabetes and has been having many problems controlling it. Dr McMenamin told him to go on Craigs list and get and angel because he is going to die. What a horrible thing to tell someone.

Dr. McMenamin has been a good doctor to me. I have seen him only a few times and he's very knowledgeable and I wouldn't hesitate to see him again. He does talk fast. He does explain everything, as long as he explains his reasoning and even though I don't understand that's good enough for me. I dislike going to the doctor and he's starting to get me turned around on that.
