My husband and I were patients of Dr. MacIsaac for over 14 years until we were relocated out of the state. We always knew he was an amazing doctor, but starting over trying to find someone who even comes close to him in professionalism, knowledgeability, compassion and bedside manner is just further evidence of how very special he really is! Many years ago when I had only maybe been seeing him for a year, he made an unusual and unexpected diagnosis about some symptoms I was having, which I truly believed saved my life. I had Lyme disease, but no reason or evidence to suspect I had even been exposed to a tick. I really think that most other doctors would have blown me off until the symptoms had progressed to a point where I had lifelong health effects. I am so grateful he was so thorough and listened to me so closely in order to think to test for Lyme. Since then, I have only continued to be grateful. Every time I would go to see him, he would spend the first several minutes of the appointment just catching up on my life, work, family, vacations. He NEVER rushed an appointment and always made me feel like I mattered as a person as well as a patient. Through the years, he has helped me and my husband through a variety of medical conditions and decisions and I 100% trust him with my life. Even though we live 20 hours away now, he sent us a personal letter and offered to help us with any health questions that ever arise in the future. If you are looking for a doctor who is not only excellent in his profession, but in an increasingly hurried and impersonal world will treat you like your health matters, you absolutely should go to Dr. MacIsaac!

My family and I started going to Dr. MacIsaac’s practice right when we moved here from San Diego, California. We had a really good relationship with our doctors out west and honestly did not think we would find the same relationship let alone a better relationship here in Pittsburgh. We looked up countless doctors in the Pittsburgh area but nothing really was standing out to my family, and then a family friend recommended Dr. MacIsaac. We have continued to go to him for anything that is even the slightest concern to us, and he takes everything that we are worried about seriously. He is a very professional man, but he really loves to have one-on-one conversions with you to really get to know you. We not only stayed with him because of his reputation as a very successful doctor but also because of his genuine interest in us. The waiting time is quick and when I meet with him I know I am getting the utmost, genuine care. It’s really nice being so comfortable with the person who helps take care of your health. And for all these reasons, I truly recommend Dr. MacIsaac and his practice to anyone seeking a great doctor.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Macisaac! He has supported me through a very long journey and has never stopped trying to find answers for me. Previous to finding Dr. Macisaac, I had several doctors tell me I was “normal” and not to worry and my quality of life suffered for it. Once I joined his practice we hit the ground running! He carefully listens to my concerns and is never dismissive. Most importantly he respects my point-of- view and supports me in whatever decisions I choose to make. I am SO grateful to have him as my doctor, I would give him 100 stars if I could!

You wait for an hour every time you make an appointment. The billing charges outrageous fees. The doctor always excuses himself to Google your diagnosis. Horrible!

Dr. MacIsaac has been my primary care physician for over a year now. I have always been hesitant to go to the doctor. I've had too many experiences where I've been lectured for being overweight and almost shamed for the state of my health. Dr. MacIsaac was recommended by a friend that is also a patient. She was very comfortable with him and now I know why. Admittedly I was in poor health when I first saw him, but he never once made me feel bad about it in anyway. Instead he offered very friendly support, advice and genuine concern for my health and well being. I had pretty severe hypertension but we were able to resolve that with the proper medication. Shortly after taking care of the high blood pressure, I suffered a spinal injury. Dr. MacIsaac and his staff were very accommodating and able to get me in for a last minute appointment. I was in so much pain that I couldn't stand up straight or walk normally. He recommended and MRI and a neurosurgeon to help resolve the bulging disc. Since the spinal surgery I've lost 50 pounds, we've reduced my blood pressure meds and I feel so much better every day. I don't think it's hyperbole to say that he may have literally saved my life. If you're looking for someone that will cut through the BS and help without judgement...someone that you can be 100% yourself with, then I would not hesitate to contact Dr. MacIsaac!

I am at a loss of words. I have been with this practice for over ten years. To me this was the best doctor I had ever been to. I told everybody that asks who my family doctor was, with pride, it is Dr. MacIsaac. Then one day I received a letter in the mail, certified, that he was discontinuing our physician/patient relationship. I was so upset I cried. What had I done to deserve this? I feel betrayed that someone who is supposed to be there to make you better, tells you he is done with you. He gave no reason, just left me in the middle of a health problem, for me to have someone pick up where he dumped me. This just shows the true person the he is, a inefficient doctor and heartless human.

I'v been a patient of Dr. MacIsaac's for about two years now. When I had some serious medical issues occur he was extremely helpful and took a great deal of time to create and implement a plan of action. He always takes a great deal of time with me for any scheduled appt. When this issue occured he called me himself to explain the results and another time while I was in the hospital just to see how I was doing. He may not call back for every little test result that can easily be explained by a nurse or MA, but goes above and beyond when neccessary. I would highly recommend him!

I was dropped from Dr MacIsaac's practice when I questioned why it took so long for the office to call me regarding blood work. I was scheduled for surgery and almost had to cancel as the surgeon didn't have the test results. I received a formal letter indicating I was too agressive and upset the staff. On a previous occasion the "nurse" was unable to draw blood and had to call for someone else to perform the task. The office waiting room was always empty.
