I left this practice after eight years. I needed a refill on my Synthroid. His CMA spent ten minutes talking over me, refusing to let me get a single word in, and then ultimately hung up on me after telling me that she couldn’t help me because what I wanted was illegal. I find it ludicrous that a patient needing a refill on a required daily, life saving medication could be considered illegal under any circumstance. The office has always been disorganized, the staff unfriendly and even openly hostile at times. Neither him or his CMA answer messages on their electronic portal or return phone calls unless you call them repeatedly and demand that they do. I’ve attempted numerous times in the last six months to get contact with him over my medicine, lab results, and appointments to no avail. Not to mention, he’s condescending and rude and will not listen to any ideas that a patient has about their own care. I will not be back here and I will actively discourage anyone who cares about their wellbeing from going to this place. There are much better options in Asheville.

Absolutely useless. The kickbacks he receives from Big Pharma take precedence over real endocrine issues.

I've been seeing Dr. Dodd for over 20 years and he has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable concerning my diabetes. He keeps up on new medications and ways to keep me healthy and my A1C in the Good category. He has always been professional and compassionate. Thank you, Dr. Dodd!!!!

I was his patient for almost two years. I went there for a very enlarged thyroid. We did one needle biopsy. It came back ok and he really never wanted to discuss my thyroid much after that. More concerned with no density. I'm almost sure I'm hypothyroid, but never listened to symptoms. Went solely by tsh. Always running way, way behind schedule. I won't be back

Do not waste your time. He does not listen well and he laughs at your concerns and just ignores details. Never got results and had to call several times to get test results and records sent to other doctors. He does not believe in any natural medicine or approaches and says anything natural is just hocus pocus. I will not go back to him.

Dr. Dodd has been my endo for almost two years. I started out hyperthyroid then my scan revealed multiple nodules and a goiter. He recommended radioactive iodine but never explained anything. After a few months I became hypothyroid. I feel so naive for taking his course of treatment without doing research or asking enough questions. But now I have done my research and even took notes w/me to which he became very defensive and offered no help it explanations. My test results are never told to me unless I call repeatedly. He is mainstream, diesnt believe in any NDT, only Synthroid. And only goes by the TSH level. Showed absolutely no care or concern when I broke down crying that I just wanted to get better. Told me he has thousands of patients and only 3 on NDT but gave me the prescription reluctantly and then said he didn't know how to dose or adjust the dosage either. I'm done with him and will recommend no one should see him and go through what I have. Don't waste your time or money!!

He did notexplain to me about my condition. he done over 700.00 worth of labs and did not have the courtesy to let me know the results. he told me he would do an ultrasound on my thyroid at next visit and did not even mention it at that visit. i have one more visit with him and if it is not better than the other two i will not be back. i drive 60 miles to get there and i expect to get more than i have been getting. I am not stupid, i am a registered nurse and i know how things work. the last thing he told me was that ineeded to loose weight.
