Dr. Fanelli made a diagnosis, and subsequently treated me, and he changed my life! After a LIFETIME of being told that there was nothing wrong with me, I found my way to Dr. Fanelli who diagnosed a gaping hole where the esophageal sphincter was supposed to be. He was very specific about my options, and very clear about the risks I would be taking if I had the surgery to correct this problem. I went forward with the surgery, and can now lay down when I sleep, after 20 years of having to sleep sitting up. I don't have any more reflux, and it is wonderful not to have food and water flush back into my mouth. I can exercise without food and water refluxing, and my overall health is greatly improved. The only negative is he moved from Berkshire County, so I need to find a new doctor.

Dr Fanelli made a major mistake with my diagnosis-- no compassion or concern for this patient. Along with Dr Lederman there interest seems to be generating money with popular bariatric surgery. He no longer does laproscopic surgery...find other surgeons
