Dr. Wenacur is unequivocally the most rude and condescending doctor I have ever had. I finally decided to leave the practice when he refused to call in a 90 day supply of my heart burn medication. He called in a 30 day supply, an amount not covered by insurance. He did so knowingly, also aware my wife was 9 months pregnant and about to give birth any day. His explanation was because I had not been in for a checkup in a while. I explained to him that I had no way of knowing he wanted to see me so urgently as Troy family physician is terrible at fostering communication lines with their patients. They are way behind the mark on technology such as patient portals, text alerts, etc. Its 2023 and they still just don't exist in their practice! You have to call and hope to get through to one of the extremely rude secretaries. When I pleaded with him to please call in the correct amount of meds, knowing I was adament on making an appointment as soon as they opened Monday he said no, illustrating his distrust in his patients.

Dr. Wenacur is good with me as a patient. He never seems rushed when he is attending to me. I can't really judge him on his knowledge compared other doctors I've seen as I'm depending on him being the expert and not me. He is willing to try multiple treatments if the situation warrants it and seems to always look for better treatments. His main goal is to always get the patient to a healthier point. My only gripe is that I wish his scheduling was a bit better so that the wait was shorter. I don't think I've ever waited more than 30 minutes. Part of the reason for the wait is probably due to the fact that he isn't trying to rush through his patients. Personally though, I'm fine with waiting a bit longer to get a higher quality of care.

Dr. Wenacur is the best primary care doctor I have ever had. He always has enough time for his patients and has a genuine concern for their wellbeing.
