I am writing my review late, but I felt it is necessary. I had fibroids and kept bleeding throughout the month. He wanted me to get a hysterectomy and I was not ready so I agreed to get an ablation and my body rejected the procedure. Before I was put to sleep I heard the nurse ask the doctor if I needed antibiotics, he told her no. When I woke up I asked was he going to give me antibiotics to avoid an infection and he said no. I could smell the burning flesh from my body after the procedure. I contacted the office and informed them and he refused to give me antibiotics for the apparent infection. I’m not sure if this doctor is still practicing medicine anywhere, but if he is BEWARE. Apparently things got so bad for this duo, the closed their doors quickly.

This doctor is horrible! If you care about the safety of your baby I would NOT recommend him I had to dismiss him at 26 weeks pregnant because he down right didn’t care when my pregnancy became high risk he was so admit about having me deliver at 26 weeks even when other doctor would say she might be able to carry the baby for a couple more weeks just seemed like he wanted to wash his hands of situation.

When I first started seeing Dr. Shakespeare I agreed to a scheduled csection. I later found out there might be a posibility of a vbac at another clinic but before they decided they wanted to see my records. I signed a release and a lady from Dr. Shakespeare's office called me the next day to tell me I was going to be dropped because the clinic was asking for my records and they were taking that as a transfer of care. Although I told them several times I wasn't. I explained I didn't have another doctor and I would be left without prenatal care if they did that. When I asked her to dismiss the release from the clinic and told her I would personally pick up MY records she said NO because they knew my intentions and I would need to speak to Dr. Shakespeare to explain to him why. When I saw him and he was upset about me requesting the records, he said I should have told him before I signed the release. He started raising his voice and told me he wasn't going to waste his time on someone "looking around". Although I tried to explain this was just a second opinion so I can make an informed decision. He wouldn't hear it.. he asked ME to put myself in his shoes... like I did something to offend him. He also kept saying I had agreed to the csection. Obviously that's what matter to him and not my well being and what would be best for me and my baby. Since he was so adamant about me not telling him I was seeking another opinion about the vbac, I told him I've worked with doctors before and I never question their reason why they want their records and he said it was ridiculous. His practice and policies are ridiculous.. I have NO need to explain why I want MY records and I am entitled to make an informed decision on something as big as a major surgery. I am no longer his patient because I dared look into my options.

Dr Shakespeare is a fantastic dr. I never had to wait hours to see him, but if there was a wait they'd let me know. He's very professional and yes he tried to get through each appointment fast but he makes sure you're ok before sending you off. People complain about feeling "violated" well what do you expect from and obgyn? They have to do the things they do to insure you're safety as well as the baby's. I reccomend everyone to him.

I have never had such a disgusting Dr. appt in my LIFE! Im 27 yrs old and new in Bako, I was treated like dirt from the assistant and Dr. I wasnt EVER given a proper intro, the only introduction was when he shoved the cold intraVaginal Ultrasound in me!!!Yes i felt Violated and YES i was mortified when he brought his entire staff in to Look at mY "complicated" case, I was lying there with my legs wide open when the door flew open!!! Ive had extensive medical training and know enough to say SHAME ON YOU! My questions were shoo'd away like they were meaningless, I asked to r/s my appt so that my 4yr old daughter would not have to experience the pap, but was then ordered to by the lousy assistant. My daughter was mortified. I have worked with scum like this before and know that they are not about the the well-fare of the patient but for more obvious reasons !!!I am now seeing my previous OBGYN(in Fresno)Its a bit of a drive but couldn't be happier and the service is incomparable!
