He is the best around. Really listens and spends time. I was so surprised to read the negative comments.

Dr Ciccone seems to be an average doctor. Like the fact he has alternative ideas that have helped me in the past, but if you don't go several times a year, he/his staff wont give you the time. I hadn't needed him or a doctor for two years, and when I called his office, they told me I had to sign up as a new patient even though he was my primary care doctor. When he joined Lourdes group, it was impossible to get a quick appointment when you were sick. So you just had to let it run its course. Very frustrating. When I spoke to him about this, he said he was leaving Lourdes and going independent again and that would not happen any longer. Still happened. The office staff are also arrogant.. They don't care if there is an urgent matter and they don't pass on messages. Would give an extra star if it wasn't for the staff. They really need to hire more intelligent front line staff that interact with the patients.

Agree with other people. I can’t believe this person is called a physician. He speaks down to people and doesn’t seem to care in the least

Be very careful if you go to this doctor! He will insist that you come in several times a year even if your physical and blood work are perfect. When my husband would not do so, the doctor said that he would not treat him anymore - despite two years of Dr. Ciccone's exact words at my husband's physical being that my husband was a "Perfect Specimen."

Dr. Ciccone says that it is his philosophy to have people come in several times a year, regardless of how well your health might be (although, I have never seen a written copy of his philosophy and he does not have a website - or email). If you have to work and can't come in on his timeline, he may say that he will not call in prescriptions that you have been on for decades. He did this to me once and when I brought that up, he insisted that he never did this. I wish to God that I had reported him at the time. I had no idea that he would downright lie to me.

This past June, when his staff told me that I needed to come in to discuss recent blood work, I explained that I could do so the following Monday or in September, as I was booked up for the summer. When his staff finally got him on the phone with me, Dr. Ciccone was NASTY AND CONDESCENDING and said, “Every time you call, it is the same song and dance, rig-a-ma-roll, blah, blah, blah.”

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. A doctor, who is supposed to be a professional and do no harm, used this kind of language to speak to me. I was stunned. However, I was afraid that he would withhold my medications if I did not come in, so I offered to pay him for a phone visit to discuss my blood work. He refused to do so.

Dr. Ciccone said that I stated that I would NOT come in. I explained that I said I COULD not come in before September, not that I was refusing. I was perfectly happy to pay him for a visit and discuss my blood work over the phone. My specialists do this. This is not an uncommon thing.

He also said that I had not been in for six months. This is not true. I had been to see him in January and February of 2018. I told him that I would come back from where I was going to be if he insisted. He asked if we were going to have a problem and that he would write me a letter releasing me from his care. He had threatened to do this when my husband would not come in after his physical and blood test were perfect. My husband found a new doctor before Dr. Ciccone could "fire" him, and I decided to do the same.

I found a new doctor this week and called Dr. Ciccone's office to get my paperwork sent over (he does have a fax). I was told that it would be $1.00 a page. My specialist sends me PDFs for free. I understand charging a small amount, but $1.00 a page is what you should be prepared to pay if you do not want Dr. Ciccone to hold your medical records hostage.

NEVER IN MY LIFE HAS A DOCTOR BEEN THIS CONTROLLING, CONDESCENDING, OR NASTY. I was honestly shaking when he spoke to me on the phone because I was in a bit of shock.

I should also do a final note and say that he used misogynist language to refer to his staff. He has a staff of women, and on the phone last week, he referred to them as "girls" more than once. This is just one more indicator of the unprofessional and frankly, uncomfortable environment in his office. Doctors are supposed to be healers and do no harm. I did not feel like a patient, I felt like an inconvenience that he wanted to be rid of.

I found a new doctor immediately and she is amazing. I had forgotten what that was like.

I would be very very careful with this doctor , he comes across as caring? Maybe, but his medicine is borderline to frank quackery ! Pushing these supplements that are not proven but of course you can e - order them on his web for a cost) He was prescribing “ Nattosauzer” supplements to my sister , and sending her for fibrinogen levels ( not approved or covered by her insurance - because there is no medical evidence for this supplement) . She then had spontaneous bleeding / GI stomach bleed - had to rush her to ER, called his office at 2:30 - gone for the day, staff said “ Go to Urgent Care somewhere”- took her to ER- her blood was thinned out like she was on warfarin - but she wasn’t ! Almost bleed to death! Who prescribes such stuff- and then has “ a warning disclosure on their website” Run don’t walk away from this practice.!

I'm appalled by the attitude of the receptionist when I tried to schedule an initial appointment. She was rude, ill-informed, and ignorant. I will not be pursuing care at this office.

Very knowledgeable and caring doctor. He is helping me avoid full blown diabetes type II by helping me get blood sugar and insulin levels down before type II takes hold. I also am on the Boston Heart Study which assesses your risk for heart disease. Type II diabetes stemming from insulin resistance and heart disease are the top killers in women so I want to reduce those risks and I trust Dr. Ciccone to lead me in the right direction.

I haven't seen Dr. Ciccone yet (I rated him a 5 for punctuality & knowledge because I hear very good things about him) but I had two encounters with his awful staff. I spoke with the receptionist when I called initially to set up an appointment. She was new and wasn't very helpful. As a new patient calling, I could have benefited from some detailed information about how their office works, as they don't just set you up with an appointment right when you call. They have to fax or mail their forms to you (no email & you can’t obtain them online), you fill them out, you either drop them off at the office or mail them back (again, no email option), and then they call you to schedule an appointment. The receptionist expected me to know this - I had to drag this information out of her. I can excuse this because she was new.
However, finally today someone called me to set up an appointment. She had an attitude from the beginning of our conversation. The office only sees new patients Monday through Thursday at either 10 am or 3 pm. She threw out a few times for me to come in and they didn't work for me. These aren't the most convenient times for anyone with a job or a family or a life for that matter, so it was difficult for me to find a day and time on the spot when she called. She then rudely told me to tell her some days & times that worked for me because she was getting frustrated with me. She proceeded to tell me that she had patients standing in front of her that needed assistance. SHE called ME, though.... why she would call a new patient to schedule one of the two times they have available while she has patients in front of her is beyond me. She was blatantly rude to me. If Dr. Ciccone didn’t come so highly recommended, I would run the other way and never look back. I hung up the phone after my discussion feeling pretty crappy and anxious that I have to eventually deal with this her in person. I go to the doctor’s to feel BETTER not worse.
I write good reviews often, I even send letters to the headquarters of many companies when I receive exceptional service. People who are helpful and provide good customer service deserve to be recognized. I don’t usually write bad reviews, I just don’t say anything at all, but I am sick and tired of being treated like this when I am a paying customer, even if it is in the medical profession. Please don’t work in a field where you have contact with other people if you are nasty. Dr. Ciccone, please find a new staff!
