I have to say Dr. Wickwire is part good, part in denial or just not educated. He put me on Accutane for my acne and luckily he knew how to use the drug correctly (dosing, duration) unlike my previous dermatologist. He however did insist that it doesn't cause depression or suicidal thoughts and I can assure you 100% that it does and it does so quite badly. It is a very dangerous drug and I would use it only as a last resort. I wish he would try less dangerous methods for acne control instead of resorting to the patented big guns then insisting it's completely safe.

I have had a history of melanoma and have seen a lot of dermatologists. The last one I went to before Dr. Wickwire didn't even look at my back. He found a suspicious mole and biopsied it and it wound up (I hope) saving my life because it was barely a speck, but he saw it. He is very thorough, fun, has a lot of character and quirks, but not in a weird way. I am shocked by some of the stuff I read on here as it is so rude to Dr. Wickwire...he works hard and is super efficient, is very complete in answering questions, has a staff that is has had almost no turnover since I've been going there, and the last question out of his mouth is always "Do you have any other questions?" There is nothing not to like.

i pointed to mole on my forehead, he lasered off the wrong one. I called back and told them. He would not do the one i pointed to without my paying another co-pay.shocking behavior. Never again.

My appointment was at 9a and he arrived at 9:30a after talking on the phone and staff for 30mins. WebMD already told me I had hand eczema or psoriasis and thats all that he could tell me. Didn't instill a lot of confidence in his diagnosis and seemed like he was really trying to push me out so he could get to his next patient. Wasnt really clear about what I needed to do to maintain what could be a life long illness. Wouldn't recommend him to my enemies.
