the doctor treated me and my family great and was helpful with our drug coverage suggesting the
drops that were less expensive but what would work well

I do not believe these reviews at all. I went to another dr. at vanderbilt that caused me to lose vusion in one eye and over 3 years she couldnt fix it, and Dr. Rice has me doing better in 4 months than she did in 3 years

When I questioned the fact that the prescription he prescribed was not as strong as the one that was done by another doctor one year earlier - Dr. Rice was very rude and said - what do you expect me to do about it? He made it clear that it was my fault for the way I responded to the eye test. He took no responsibility at all. He re-did the test and didn't charge me but I will never go back to him again because he did not speak to me at all during the 2nd exam except to say - "here is what YOU selected this time". I offered to pay for the 2nd exam and he declined but regardless, I do not expect to be treated this way when someone is providing a service to me - especially when the prescription needs to be correct before I purchase glasses.

He and his employees were very unkind. Very rough during exam. I do not recommend.
