Doctor arrived 45 minutes late. Appointment lasted <10 minutes. He was incredibly rude. Paperwork everywhere. Worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Are you looking for help? You won't find it at Dr. Ahsan's office.

I was referred here by my primary Doctor. I initially went in about a sore thumb; I went back and had a nerve test on my R wrist which confirmed I had mild Carpal Tunnel. He gave me a $40 shot in my thumb and head which helped the pain. I appreciated his sense of humor and we had an interesting talk about spirituality. I said I had headaches and he assumed they were migraines without doing any testing! He prescribed me drugs which didn't help but made me groggy(Gabapentin) and lowered my pulse (Propranalol). He increased the Gabapentin without asking me if my headaches were worse! After going for 3 months, I stopped! He was very cold on the third appointment; he sat at the computer, asked my name and didn't spend much time with me! The staff was ok.
Don't bother with this practice!

I only saw Dr Ahsan twice and he seemed knowledgeable. My issue involves payment of deductibles and HRA. I was told that the deductible payment was to be made before seeing the doctor. When I mentioned that my insurance company would automatically apply money from my HRA account to the deductible, the office staff told me that they have no idea how the HRA works and that I needed to pay them before I saw the doctor. As it turned out Dr Ahsan was paid my deductible payment twice, once by me and also by my insurance company. I made several calls to try to recover the extra payment with no luck. Then I contacted my insurance company. They placed several calls and were not able to speak to anyone who could help them in this matter. The answer was always that the Office Manager was not in.

My recommendation is that if you are asked to make a payment before you see the doctor, check your billing statement later to see if they were paid twice. I wish you the best of luck recovering the extra payment they received.

I have frequent migraine headaches. I was so sick of taking pills which just seemed to give me relief for a few hours and made me groggy. The pharmacist at The Medicine Shoppe told me that Dr. Ahsan has been having good results with a a tiny injection of steroid on the head in a particular spot. I did call and go in the next time I had a migraine, and he injected me on two spots with a tiny needle which was not painful. More importantly, within 5 minutes my headache started going away and within 15 minutes I had no headache at all. I was worried, because I don't like steroids, but the amount he injected must have been very small because I had absolutely no side effects. My migraine never returned, which has never happened before. Usually they last three days even with the pills. It has now been almost two weeks and no return of migraine. Very impressed, grateful, and a heck of a lot better than the $75 pills.

I am an ER RN and my movement disorder had progressed to the point that it had ended my career as I could no longer perform IVs, draws, caths, etc. I had seen many specialists over the years. My tremor has improved so markedly that I will be able to return to work. Movement disorders run in my family, and he has helped my brother regain functionality as well. Our experiences have been very positive.

We called Dr. Ahsan with URGENT questions - no response. 19 year old patient having uncontrollable seizures. He ignored us. Had another physician call and set up appointment 4 days later, plus get medication changed. Went to emergency appointment. Ahsan did not address our concerns -- at all. This overdosed patient is now unable to make decisions. Doctor is uncaring. Dismissive. Doesn't listen. NEVER remembers seeing patient before. Does not remember his previous comments or diagnosis. Does not want to see our list of seizure activities. Office staff is ridiculously rude, sloppy, and indifferent.

I have struggled with my narcalepsy for years. I was at my wits end and was frustrated that no one could help me. By the grace of God, I found This awesome doctor! He knew exactly what to do to help me, he took the time to listen to me and was so kind! His staff was wonderful too! My life has changed for the better because of this awesome doctor! Another thing is you actually get to see the doctor NOT the Physican's assistant. If you want a knowledgable and caring doctor~ go see him! I am so happy I finally found a doctor that cares about me and my well being!
