Do NOT go to Life IVF! I am looking into options of reporting them. The service was so terrible I feel like it borders on medical malpractice.

We did six cycles of IVF here, and retrieved four eggs. None of these embryos worked out, and we ended going somewhere else for an IUI and got pregnant.
Looking back, we were a little surprised that our stimulation was not changed earlier based on the lack of stimulation on my ovaries. The first three cycles were natural cycles, and the last three were minimal using mostly Clomid . The doctor we changed to recommended that we use a different protocol and did not recommend Clomid, and that actually worked. That is one thing that could have been improved, that a feedback system would have led to different treatments after learning how my body reacted after several cycles.
Otherwise, the office is busy but well-run and the nurses are amazing although inundated.

I am a current patient. I highly recommend Life ivf centre. Since I am an out-of-town patient, I feel very grateful to all the nurses who answered all my questions and concerns so patiently on the phone every time I call them. They care about patients a lot. In one of the monitoring stages, the nurses called a few times for my late blood tests (blood tests done at my city locally by a third party ). I feel that they care about it even more than I do. The doctor who did egg retrieval was very professional and skillful, with local anesthetic, pain was so much less than I imagined. Their billing department even contacted us for discounted pricing after we have paid for the full amount, and gave us credit. People in this clinic are nice, honest and very helpful. Doctors are amazing too!

I am a current patient at this life ivf centre. I don't recommend anyone go to this clinic. The doctor never have time for the patients except the first time consultation. The nurse services sucks. They seems very polite and friendly , but just this, nothing helpful. Especially the nurse name "LoAn" with long hair. I had bad experience with this clinic. Most of the nurses don't care about you; the don't pay attention to your e-mail or questions; they don't always answer the e-mails. And when they replied your email, they normally don't put their names on the email. Of course, they don't want toresponsible of what they said. After you paid the package fee of over $15,000, it's very difficult for you to see or talk to Dr. Yelian again. Beside the $15,000 prepayment , you need to pay $150 each time if you want to see him face to face and $75 if you want the doctor to call you at a specific time. Otherwise, you have to wait until he has the time to call you. I left my name on his call log over 3 weeks, he still has not return my call. But I think it's because the nurse never pass him my message. There is no use of email it to the office manager, Tony. He just referred you back to the anonymous nurse. 😓😓

They only ask for money, even 2 minutes phone call will charge you $75, no care for his patient. You want to talk to Dr Yelian? You can only if you have not paid for their cycle fee. Once you paid over $14,000 package fee, you can hardly see him again. They only recognise $$$$,

This is the BEST TIP... PLEASE READ!!! If you are like me and you are 1 in 8 battling infertility then you know we have to go thru loops and hurdles to get our miracle babies, you also know that no matter what some of us will be blessed and others won't. It's heart wrenching to hear the words you may never have a biological child or only option is ivf and that might not work. However this was our story, after our 20th failed medicated injectable iui in April, we were told we needed sperm donor and a egg donor or donor embryo, our first consultation with Dr Yelian in June revealed a new hope and loads of answers. We prayed and it lead us to complete our mini ivf cycle in July we had retrieval, frozen transfer in August and our 1st try we conceived with our own sperm and egg. My point is if you believe or think negative or give into the negative, you may very well miss your opportunity to conceive and bring home your baby because someone is bitter they had a failed cycle. It happens and there are various reasons it happens but success outweighs the failures. Trust me I did my research before even going to this clinic and it was the highest level of pregnancies and pregnancies resulting in live birth which is very important because you want to bring home your miracle baby. Follow your heart and if nothing else have your free 15 minute phone consultation because it just might change your life and be the answers to your prayers. I'm praying that you all have your miracle babies.

The doctor never have time for the patients except the first time consultation. He gives patients big hope at the beginning but did not follow up with patients when the cycle is failed. He broke our hope and hearts!

I don't recommend my friends to this clinic. All I get to see is nurses. There is only one doctor for this clinic. If you want to talk to the doctor, you have to pay $100 each time. Most of the nurses don't care about you; the don't pay attention to your e-mail or questions; they don't always answer the e-mails. I have very bad experience with this clinic. They give you misleading statistics and false hope. It was a waste of my money, energy, and time.

I am a current patient here. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Reasons:

1. Only time you see any medical doctor is your initial consultation. After that, you will NEVER see him on your appointments except for egg retrieval or transfer. Once you sign up and pay your money, all you get to see on your appointments are nurses. You can request a "consultation" with a doctor for additional fee (after you have already paid tens of thousands of dollars). $150 if you want to see him face to face, $75 if you want the doctor to call you at a specific time. Otherwise, you have to wait until he has the time to call you.

My first transfer was unsuccessful. NOBODY cared to follow up with me after the negative pregnancy test. I expected the doctor to at least give me a call to talk about the next step (e.g., what he will do differently increase success rate).

2. Doctor rushes through procedure
Doctors are in a hurry to get the procedure done, and they do not seem to care about what physical pain his patient goes through. In my second egg retrieval, I requested local anesthesia (for $150) because sticking a needle in my uterus is extremely painful. The doctor was in such a hurry to get it done. He started performing the procedure only 5 seconds after injecting anesthetic agent, which is not enough time for it to work. I was in as much pain as if I had no local anesthesia.

3. Use of unqualified "medical" staff
Twice, I was assigned an extremely inexperienced person to draw my blood. It took him 15 min. to draw my blood (meaning I had to sit there with a needle stuck in my arm), which resulted in a big bruise on my arm. It turns out that he was a lab technician who recently got a phlebotomist certification.

Tony the office manager said, "He helps out when things get busy. He is new at this." Great. This is what you get after paying $13,000.

4. Long wait time
Most of the time, the clinic is overcrowded. You wait on an average of 20-30 min just to talk to a nurse. Today I waited for 70 min.

5. Poor customer service
Tony the manager has horrible people skills. I have complained about #3 and #4 with him, and both times, he kept on giving me BS excuses.

When I complained about long wait time today, his response was:

"Today is your important appointment" -> Does not justify the delay at all
"Nurse had to wait for blood test results" -> Obviously he does not know how an appointment works. When patients see a nurse, the nurse typically does not have the blood test results. Patients get an email from a nurse later in the day.
"We care about quality of service (that's why things are slow)" -> I told him it is the clinic's operational issue (not to mention they are legally required to pass certain standards), and patients should not have to pay for that.

When I told him I was running late for my next appointment because of the 70 min wait, he had the nerve to say "You should have planned your day better."

I was completely insulted by him, as he was totally undermining my intelligence by giving me BS excuses.

6. Misinforming patients
In the waiting room there is a sign that says "Health Information Privacy (HIPAA): Please respect patient's privacy and confidentiality. Do not ask about treatment plans, personal/contact info, finances, medication usage, etc. with others while waiting." HIPAA is the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. It regulates the use and disclosure of patient's healthcare information by healthcare providers and insurance, etc. It does NOT prohibit patients from asking questions nor sharing information with other patients in the waiting room.

The clinic appears to NOT want patients to compare notes, and deceptively using HIPAA to make it look legit.
