I am alive because I saw another doctor after Dr Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell was not interested in looking at a mole on my knee. He reluctantly glanced at it. With persuasion, he agreed to set up a biopsy. Three months later he said he forgot. I finally, saw the surgeon who told me I had Melanoma Stg. 2. Dr. Mitchell phoned me and tried to confuse me about when I had seen him about the mole and then denied he had forgot to make a biopsy appointment. He was loud and I was shaking. I told another doctor who sent me immediately to Dr Oxley at Surrey Memorial who, 4 days later, removed the mole and referred me to Dr Doris who removed Lymph nodes. I had Stage 3 Melanoma.. These competent, knowledgeable doctors acted immediately and saved my life. Being in their company shone a light on Dr. Mitchell's inadequacies and insecurities. Surprise Dr. Mitchell, I'm still alive.

Overall at one time he was a good Doctor, his receptionist who is his wife is a dictator who handles all his appointments, he is far to hard to get an appointment with and only works 2 days a week, look elsewhere for a doctor, this one is good but his wife the receptionist is not...Stay clear

My husband was a patient of Dr. Mitchell for years and I had to become a patient for a short time to my doctor retiring. If you're looking for a doctor who doesn't really care and asks you "what do you want to do" with what you came to seek his advice for you may like him. I had to tell him I wanted an x-ray, etc. We've moved since and can't believe we've had the best care ever. My husband has been diagnosed with a couple of major health issues so probably would have been dead by now if he had remained as a patient of Dr. Mitchell's.

We’ve been with Dr Mitchell since he began with the Canon Clinic and moved into his own clinic. He and Mrs Mitchell are lovely people, and Dr Mitchell has always been attentive, knowledgeable and caring. We’d happily recommend him to anyone who’s looking for a great family doctor!

I saw Dr. Mitchell for a knee injury. He told me it was just a sprain and to rest it and it will heal. Five days later went to the hospital due to no improvement. Know sitting in a full leg immobilizer because I have soft damage and a dislocated knee.
He also told me I had a minor sprain on my ankle a few months before. Ended up damaging every major ligament and will now have early arthritis due to so much damage. I do not recommend him

He wrote me a prescription for a dangerous opioid because I asked for it. I even asked very specifically if there was any danger to myself by taking this. he repeatedly told me it was very safe. I never took the medication as I have no need for it (which I also stated to him before he wrote the prescription). After when I asked to see a specialist for my real life conditions I have the scars to prove he told me that he thought my only motives were financial. I am a debt free homeowner with a great fulltime job. I wanted to see a neurologist because I have a traumatic brain injury and somebody suffer memory loss/loss of brain functions.
