I have been a patient of DR Mathias Boerman from 1981, and he and his staff have always been professional friendly, and it is always easy to get an appointment. I was sad to see the two retire but they deserve the time as they have worked very hard at the business. Dr O is very good too.

My family and I wore his patient since he has started in this building over 20 years ago. The last time I was examining I my eyes somehow his prescription was not correct. I bought my glasses through Costco. He always was very upset that I buy my eyeglasses from Costco. However this time Costco changed the glasses two times and still I had some problem. Costco suggested that I should go back to the doctor and check to see whether the prescription is correct. I visited him, he said “at the time of examination that was the result” and he was not willing to offer a free basic exam. He asked me to pay full price again. I was not expecting from a doctor to say something to his patient so I thank him and I left I went to other doctor and the prescription was wrong. I do not think he ever see me or my family again.

I think it is time for Dr. Boerman to retire. Professional, maybe, caring, not so much and patient, not. After being a loyal customer/patient for more than 10 years, I feel quite let down by him. He sent me to a clinic for additional eye tests and never got back to me with the results. He said my dry eyes were a condition of aging and offered little in the way of remedy or relief except to recommending using a humidifier and taking vitamin E. I finally went to another Optometrist, who on the first visit, with state of the art equipment, was able to diagnose that I had a corneal disease and patiently explained the various interventions available to provide relief - starting, of course, with the least intrusive. I wish I had made the move much, much sooner.

Very Professional. The staff at the front desk always make me and my family who have been going to Dr. Boermans office for many years feel welcomed ! I recommend this practice to anyone looking for a Dr. who knows what they are doing.

I felt that it is my responsibility to say something about the wrong that continues in customer service in Dr. M. Boerman and his wife Dr. P Nickolet's office and lets not forget his awful staff. It is almost like a group of wolves that roar at you, here is one example that shocked me and could not believe it happened when Dr. P Nickolet yelled at my children when they were close to her equipment. She could have used a better approach but they made too much money they feel that they don't need to be polite or nice to others, Keep up the good work, I am shocked you remain in business but ask yourself why people do not return to you. I guess that does not make you lose any sleep since you rely on a big city that has a big population. Otherwise if you are in a small town , you would have been out of business by now, Awful people.

My family have been a patient for about 5 yrs. I was humiliated today by the doctor for being late. However, I was 10 mins early for a 9am apt. Some how his staff is doing a very poor job with up his records because they had my sons last visit in 2012 which is incorrect. Says I paid a canx fee for a missed apt, which I did not!! When I tried to inquire about it one of them was very rude and raising their voice. I will not be going back. There are millions of Dr. out there I don't need to take this from you or your staff, you need me more than I need you. Suggestion..... Customer service skills is sorely lacking try to remedy that!

Just moved into the area and needed an eye doctor. Called there office and got an appt within a few days (which was great). Dr Boermans was very friendly and professional. Told my mom about him and she'll be visiting his office next week! I highly recommend him.

I've been a patient of dr Boermans for 4 yrs and I don't have one complaint. He's friendly, professional and very knowledgable. I only purchase my glasses at his office for their good quality of frames and lenses and the price it very good. I've only had one issue with my glasses and I took them back to the office and the staff was more than happy to help me with my problem. They were not rude or unhelpful as per another comment left here. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of an eye doctor. Eye exam $95.00

Beware of the STAFF as they clearly do not know what real customer service is about. They just lost my business and my return as the staff told me there was too much work involved in asking the lab to provide a second quote for a smaller Frame. I was quoted $657.00 for a new pair of Zeiss glasses which I have no problem with and had planned to buy a second pair is the form of a prescription sun-glasses but after being told it was too much work to consult with the lab a second time I walked out of there, never to return and never to recommend this office to anyone. Now I must say that the doctor and his wife does do an excellent job in taking the time to properly test your eyes and find the best prescription which I acknowledged and very much appreciate, but when they get too busy to answer a patients question over the phone and queries made in person is replied as being too much work when a pair of glasses is quoted at over $600.00 then they must not need the business. I did pay $95.00 each for my wife and myself and also purchased computer/reading glasses for my wife that all together cost around $500.00 which was fine. Today you can buy pretty much the same product in numerous places and what makes all the difference is in the Service provided. The attendant was Trish and she chased away the real business on that day Sept 16, 2014. (Regards: Chad).
