The staff and the levelmof care provided here are far below the expectikns of quality , respectful provisions of care . There are many eye doctors in the area and you would be wise to go elsewhere .

My husband & myself have seen Dr. Kiernan over the past 3 years. We will not be going back. I was scheduled to see the doctor for a yearly exam but came down with my eyes being extremely dry & the skin under them swollen, red & peeling. The staff was of no help getting me in earlier than my scheduled appt. Once I did arrive, I waited 1-1/2 hrs. I had to go back for a re-check & waited 2 hrs!! I asked the gals about this & was told this was normal as so many people want to see him. All this is is over-scheduling to the max! (Did I mention I work full-time? Guess he is more important than I am.)After another 2 weeks, my problem is back! I will have to find another doctor if I intend on keeping my job.

Dont be fooled by any positive review. Dr. K and his staff are equally manipulative. They are, most likely, responsible for any positive reviews.

After 18 months as Dr. Kiernan's patient, and many visits to his office for tests, an update was requested by my regular doctor. Repeat requests were also made my me, including coming into his office specifically for his promised written report. At that appointment, I was told orally he had no diagnosis, no prognosis, and no treatment plan to prevent my problem from getting worse. He then commented to his staff whether he should keep me as his patient or refer me. Neither I nor my other doctor received any written report or interpretation of all the tests done in his office. GET ORIGINAL, COLORED COPIES OF ALL TESTS AT THE TIME OF TESTING!!! At least you will have that when you need to go to another eye specialist.

In my experience, I found him to be a self-promoter. He asked if I would be interested in laser eye surgery, when my reading correction was 1.0 (I could still read w/o glasses), and my distance was 20-20! He and his staff pushed blepharplasty, said they would submit it so my insurance would pay for most of it, I would pay between $600 and $800. The technician there also told me not to click on the lights above eye level on the field of vision test. The Dr. told me I was a glaucoma suspect, so I had to be seen every six months. After 2-3 years of six month visits, I went to a glaucoma specialist. I am not a glaucoma suspect. Then he said I had some other syndrome and needed to see the OD he has on staff. Before seeing the OD, I saw a specialist. According to specialists in the field, I do not have this syndrome either. My experience with him was disillusioning and scary.

This doctor has horrible bedside manners, consisting of pretending to hear your concerns, and giving false information. Also, his assessment of your candidacy for certain elective procedures(LASIK)consists of a lack of dry eye testing, disregard for pupil size, and overall disconcern for his patients well being. He blatantly lies to close the sale, then lacks the skill, and desire, to deal with "complications." Many of these complications, (i.e. flap stiae) are easily resolved, if acted on promptly. In my case, he chose to ignore them, making them permanant. If you have been hurt by him, immediatly demand your records, in color, and contact an attorney. Also file a report with the American Medical Association and the FDA.Avoid this doctor!!!!!!
