I haven't lived in Athens for a few years now, but when I did I went to Dr. Allen. I also saw her PA a number of times; I think her name is Sarah. I always had positive experiences. Friendly staff. Little waiting. Gentle touch! They were great about working me in for appointments, even on short notice! Dr. Allen and Sarah always listened and addressed all of my concerns. I also appreciated that their philosophy was often "less is better". For example, when I had an abnormal pap smear they didn't rush to treat with an invasive procedure. Instead, we followed up more frequently and the problem fixed itself. Overall, very knowledgable and easy to talk to!

Dr. Allen and her staff are excellent. As others have said, she goes above and beyond other doctors I've had as far as listening to her patients and taking good care of them.

OBGYNs creep me out - male or female - but since going to Dr. Allen, I do not mind AT ALL going because it is not the slightest traumatic experience. If she is not available, she has a wonderful PA who is wonderful as well. I will never go to another OBGYN again. Since I have to for health (believe me, I wouldn't go near one if I didn't have to) I will go to her or her PA and NO ONE else - ever again. I even have to drive an hour to get to her, but for her being such a wonderful person and doctor and all the staff is fantastic - I'd drive two hours. She is an asset to the medical field. I wish all OBGYNs and other doctors were as wonderful as she and her office.

Dr. Allen is the best doctor I've ever been to. She took my problems seriously where another doctor had just brushed off it as a "normal" thing that happens. I recommend her to everyone I see.

totally agree with the comment. very wonderful caring person. as well as her partner. i am pregnant again and i will too follow them to athens.

Dr. Allen is excellent. As a mother of three, she drew from her own personal situation and her extensive medical knowledge to help me with a difficult problem. I was very impressed by her bedside manner and she was very knowledgeable. She and her partner are moving back to Athens in January 2006 and I intend to follow her there.
