Do not see this doctor. You will have a better experience at a clinic. Trust me.

Awful doctor, don’t trust him! Misdiagnosed my 10yr.old son twice for first what he thought was swimmers ear, gave us drops, then a week later my son lost his hearing and Dr.Evans said oh it’s not swimmers ear it’s an ear fungus, gave my son new drops to treat that but then a few days later we ended up in E.R. with terrible ear pain and my sons eardrum blew. My son was put on morphine!!!we were sent to an ENT in Kingston who diagnosed him with a middle ear infection! My son had to go on oral meds, ear drops but It’s been a month of hell because of Dr.Evans unreliability. My son is still def! He also prescribed me medication that doesn’t even exist and never got back to the pharmacist to prescribe a different one!

This Dr is dangerous. I had gallbladder problems for 9 months. I finally saw him, my new GP, and he went off on a tangent about the medication I needed to take for my migraines (I was seeing a specialist in Toronto who didn't recommend this medication due to my severe reactions to similar medications, and due to me being on odsp and it being $15/dose, and only available as a powder I would have thrown up), refused to take no for an answer about having that medication prescribed, prescribed it anyway. He also told me it likely wasn't my gallbladder, but the Cymbalta I took. But also that I wasn't on a high enough dose of Cymbalta. He then told me fibromyalgia was a mental health disorder. I felt like I had been gaslit beyond belief, as did my mother, when we left, and both felt incredibly confused. He did refer me for an ultrasound of my gallbladder. The tech at that appointment told me I have gallstones. Evans called me a couple weeks later. "Nothing in your gallbladder, it's fine." Hangs up. Calls 2 minutes later. "Oh, you know, it seems like some irritation." Hangs up. Calls 2 minutes later. "Well, it looks like you have some gravel in your gallbladder. Surgery is the last thing we want to do and avoid it all costs. Call me if you have another episode." This is not an exaggeration. I have another episode shortly after. He sounds flustered when I tell him, finally refers me to a surgeon. I ended up needing emergency surgery to remove it, which was another horror story, and my surgeon was extremely concerned with how bad my gallbladder was. Upon another appointment after that nightmare, he says "oh yes! I remember you. The patient with the gallbladder issues. You know, I don't know why they didn't just take it out, there's really no other option." He then tried to push that migraine medication on me again. He has now decided that to get a prescription refill, we have to go to him for them after we reach 0 refills. At that appointment, he once again tried to push that migraine medication on me. I'm sitting here now, about to go and get my 3rd emergency refill for a medication this year. Despite my going to get those year refills, he's missed some. I've tried calling his office, and rather than my usual (no exaggeration) 35 calls to get through, the phone line is now disconnected. I'm exhausted. This man is dangerous. If you have the option I don't to avoid him, do it, and find any other Dr.

First off the staff in this office are amazing, Dr Sherriff was my dr for over 30 years with zero complaints, he was caring sweet and very professional, Dr Evans is a different story, I've been to see this clown twice, he's dismissive, won't listen to concerns, laughs at you for asking questions and is down right rude, as of now I have no family Dr because if he is the one I have to have I would rather sit in an er for 8-9 hours! ALSO THIS OFFICE IS SO UN RELIABLE RIGHT NOW, GOOD LUCK GETTING AN APPOINTMENT !!

Worst experience, it seems he just pushes you to continue to have more appointments so OHIP gives him a nice pay. I’m 13 weeks pregnant, and already have had him schedule without my consent ultrasounds and pass along referrals to ob’s that are hour and 45mins away! I’ve now had two appointments booked without my notice and have complained, cause thankfully I called to give OB fax number which staff refused to accept unless I came in. I haven’t even had blood work requisition yet or an ultrasound at 13 weeks and am beyond unimpressed. He comes off as nice, but first visit he never even looked at me as his son was there and he was giving him a training session how to work the computer program for medical screening. Anytime I ask a question about my pregnancy he rants on how I shouldn’t rush anything and go find another doctor. Don’t take this mans kindness as professional and considerate, unless he acts upon what is supposed to be done. I’m just wanting to know my due date, and couldn’t believe how rude he was to say find another doctor after asking if I could have a print out of referral form to book for blood work and my ultrasound.

I've had Dr. Evans here in Kanata for a couple of years. Sadly, he moved his practice and I am without a doc. Dr. Evans was always good with me. Helpful, listened to my concerns. I miss him, but it is what it is. He is a good man, he is up with the times and is pleasant. If you find your way into his practice, take it. He is a man of good word, but don't try to tell him how to do his job (some people try that).

I was told by Dr Evans I was diabetic I didn't believe him but took his meds. Since then I found a new Doctor and was told I was NOT diabetic, shortly after that we moved back to Halifax at which time I was told again I am NOT diabetic and now off ALL meds.

I’m happy I insisted he send me to a specialist when he said it was nothing. Always go with your gut and not what a Dr says. Inconvenient he left the practice for his patients but not sorry.
