I have been a patient here for many years. This review is for the office in general, not Dr. Clark. As of the last year or so, they have stopped caring about their patients. I guess they don’t need the patients anymore as they are very busy. This is the second time they have denied my prescription for something I have been taking regularly for YEARS. Today it was my albuterol inhaler. My last annual was in November, so yes I am due for an appointment. You would think they would allow the refill one last time and let me know I need to be seen. This is what they used to do. No longer! As big of a pain as it is to change doctors after one knows your history, I will not be going back to Lindenhurst Family Practice and if you are considering using them as your family doctor, I would highly discourage you to do so.

Been with Dr. Clark since I was 19 years old so, many many years. He, as well as Dr. McGown have ALWAYS taken my issues very seriously. I've never felt blown off or felt as if they are half listening. I've NEVER EVER been told that a problem is because I'm female and emotional. Dr Clark was at the hospital the day after each of my kids were born, he was also there the day after my gall bladder surgery to check up on everything. These are the only Dr.'s my children (now grown) have ever seen and they take great care of them as well. They really do care about their patients and take the time to listen and come up actual solutions to your issues.

No. These guys aren't big into putting a lot of care into their patients. They will see you yes, but generally they (Clark, McGowan, etc.) will half-listen to your problems and prescribe blanket measures which mostly amount to a pill regimen. They don't pay much attention to the details of your problems, which is where serious issues often hide. My father went here for years and had some serious issues pop up under their care (swollen lymph nodes, arrhythmia). Their answer was never "hey, let's check that out" it was "that's normal with someone with a heart condition, here are some extra pills for that". Guess what, it turned out to be cancer. There was also never much followup about these problems. They took a laizze-fare attitude with increasingly worsening issues. And God forbid you're a woman! Most of the women in my family who have seen them have received the "oh you're a woman, it's probably just your emotions" response during checkups.

He is a special doctor. Truly cares about his patients and always takes his time. We have been with him for eight years and he has never steared us wrong. Will be with him until he retires.
