I went in for an 11am appt. The nurse was right there taking my vitals & getting her part done. Showed me to the room, told me what to do. I sat and waited...I waited until noon. I dressed and walked out. My time is just as important as anyone else's. I am an hourly employee and have to make up any time that I have to leave for appointments. Don't schedule more than one patient for the same time period. if you're running behind, have someone tell the patient or reschedule your later patients. It's not that hard to be considerate of others!

Dr. Thie and her staff has made this difficult, and long process completely wonderful. She understood I couldn't go right into IVF, due to paying out of pocket, and she really went through many steps to figure out how we can ovulate, and eventually get pregnant. I have PCOS and did not ovulate. Luckily, our insurance changed, and covered part of the IVF treatment. I am so happy we were referred here, and have had our journey with Dr. Thie and her staff.

Dr. Thie is the only doc that really would take the time to listen to my fiancé and I. We have been through so much trying to conceive and carry a baby. There is always a long wait (pretty much clear your day) but this is because she takes her time when it comes to your choices. The nurses in back are great but the upfront lady is not so kind. My complaint really is that none of them really are on same page with eachother. Dr. Thie is really huge hearted and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Thie is the best RE you could ask for. Her practice treats you like family. She treats your case individually rather than use a cookie cutter approach like the other big practices in the city. She is willing to listen and thinks outside the box to give you the most chance for success. She is realistic with you, however doesn't give up on difficult cases. I am 43 and have been to Dr. Schoolcraft at CCRM in Colorado which is rated to be one of the best doctors in the world. Dr. Thie beats him hands down. She used a similar protocol and was able to get the most mature eggs by her ability to know when it is best to trigger. At my age it is very glim to become pregnant and DR. Thie gave us our miracle pregnancy. I am now 10 weeks pregnant from my ivf cycle and we owe it all to her. I went to several other doctors in the city (dr. Chin, IRH, and had a consult Dr. Hoffman), and they weren't willing to listen or just wanted the $ for a protocol they give to everyone. Dr. Thie went above and beyond to make this happen. She even came in on a holiday to check me just in case. Her staff/nurses are amazing and they treat you like you are part of their family. I cannot say enough about how awesome Dr. Thie is as an RE. Don't waste your time going anywhere else.

I walked in and told her that I had been battling hot flashes for over a year. My PCP had done a blood test several months earlier saying that I was low in progesterone and high in estrogen. I had been using OTC progesterone cream for about a year but the hot flashes were interfering with my sleep plus I was developing other unusual symptoms that left my PCP baffled. She personally recommended Dr. Thie. She thought Dr. Thie would test me before prescribing medication. I have other chronic health issues and not sleeping well was making them worse. Dr. Thie said she didn't need to test me. She insisted that I was low in estrogen. She could tell just by looking at me and by my symptoms. The earlier blood test didn't matter. I argued with her for 10 minutes but I finally gave in. I just wanted to get some sleep. She prescribed what she described as the lowest dose estrogen patch. She said I would feel better. By the third night on the patch, I stopped sleeping and my heart started racing. I started having what I learned are adrenal surges. It was like electricity was racing through my body. There were other awful side effects that are a little embarrassing to mention. I was estrogen dominant. She had convinced me I might have some initial side effects and I would need to get used to it before I felt better. I kept the patch on through the 6th day even though I was practically manic and my skin was burning under the patch. I finally took it off on the 7th morning and called her office. Her nurse relayed my experience and Dr. Thie said she wanted to prescribe a lower dose estrogen cream. She still didn't want to do any testing. I said no more estrogen without testing. I went in a few days later for a blood test but they couldn't get any out of me because I was still too stick from the patch. I told my PCP and she was shocked. I never went back. It took me a month for my heart to stop racing and for the adrenal surges to stop. I learned later that if Dr. Thie had given me a saliva test of ALL of my hormones (including my thyroid and adrenal), she would have learned that I was high in cortisol as well as estrone (a form of estrogen). By putting me on the patch, she basically poisoned me.

Love this dr! I met with Dr Thie from July 2014-Dec 2014. I have PCOS and she listened to my history, made notes, and helped me get pregnant. Our first meeting took forever because she asked some very detailed questions. I had worked with my OB for 6 months on Clomid and it never worked, so she proposed alternate solutions. After 4 months and no pregnancy, she did suggest IVF or IUI but I said no and she worked around it - I never felt pressured to do something I didn't want to do. She suggested sperm counts for the hubs. She made time for me, answered all questions, and even came in on Sat/Sun when that was the right cycle day for treatments. I felt like she genuinely wanted me to conceive and did all she could to help me. When the meds were too expensive, she found alternates. Sometimes she did have interns there, but I was always asked first if it was OK for them to come in/do procedures etc. It was never a surprise or thrown on me. Sometimes waiting is necessary to ensure quality care - our appts ran over because Dr Thie was making sure she covered all her bases. Can't wait to work with her again for baby #2!

Dr. Thie is exactly what I look for in a physician and a human being. I’ve been going to her for more than 10 years. Today I was going to input my recommendation of her and her office staff, but I just read the eloquent review posted on RateMDs.com on April 28, 2011, and I agree with it so whole-heartedly, that it’s left me with writer’s block. (And I’m a professional writer)! So here are my paraphrases of parts I wish I’d written:
• She is a genuine, kind hearted, great-humored human being.
• There’s not usually a long wait time for an appointment. But if there is, it’s probably because Dr. Thie spends time with her patients, reassuring them and answering their questions honestly and kindly.
• She knows exactly what she's doing and has a genuine connection with women.
• In no situation has Dr. Thie ever pushed me into a decision that was not mine. She states my options clearly, answers my questions, and respects my right to make my own informed decision.
• She’s confident enough in her knowledge and skill, that she’s not threatened by alternative approaches.
• And Dr. Thie and her excellent, skilled staff have, more than once, GRACIOUSLY gone above and beyond for me, when I was having an unanticipated problem. (In much of my previous experience with offices in other cities where I’ve lived, I’d have been surprised and grateful for even a grudging accommodation to address my problem.)
Since I moved out of Cincinnati about 8 years ago, I’ve been traveling about an hour and forty-five minutes each way for my appointments. My relationship with Dr. Thie and her staff is something a value dearly. I’m very fortunate to have found them.
