My kids have both been seen here a few times; they are currently 6 & 4. My daughter gets very nervous at doctors' offices & in new situations, and right from the first visit, Dr. Bruce had her leaving the office smiling, even after her second visit, where she screamed bloody murder just getting into the chair to have the hygienist get started with the cleaning. Neither of my kids have ever had a cavity, so I can't speak to any surgical or dental problem issues, but Dr. Bruce seems to be one of those people who was meant to work with kids. He has an easy, gentle, jovial manner with them, and made my kids feel like they were having a special, fun time instead of any type of required visit (despite my daughter's fear of the cleaning.) The office was neat & clean, with cool toys for kids to play with, the staff is friendly and helpful (which is more than I can say for or dental insurance co,) and the kids always get sent home with basically a goody bag of fun, tooth-safe treats.

I went to Dr. Fieldman as a small child and my Mother had to change dentists after my brother and I complained to her that Dr. Fieldman was not properly medicating us when we experienced pain during fillings. I remember him making a very rude comment, which essentially minimized my pain, when I told him I was experiencing pain during a procedure. Luckily, we changed dentists but I still experience intense anxiety at the dentist as an adult due to these experiences.

I took my 3 year old for his first cleaning. right away i was told he had 8 cavities and would need fillings, and he would probably need to be scheduled for surgery. They said i could try laughing gas and see if he would let them. They never did the gas filled one tooth the 2nd they said needed a root canal, so they put in a temp filling. And he started to wiggle around and so they said he was refusing treatment and they had no choice but to book him for surgery. We went for the consult and i said i wasnt comfortable with that. They never did xrays or anything they said they do them in surgery. and we would probably pay $1200. Took him for a 2nd opinion my son does not need a root canal or 8 filings. he has some decay but this dentist says to be good at keeping his teeth clean and we will keep an eye on his teeth. The office was nice and i really thought he was in good hands. so glad i got the 2nd opinion!!!

Dr. Fieldman is known for suggesting young kids have surgery on thier teeth.In turn it ends up costing parents thousands of dollars.I know this first hand because it happened to myself and also a friend of mine.After getting a second opinion too late a different dentist said there was nothing wrong with my child.

I was told my child under 3 needed surgery for his teeth. I trusted the office opinion and scheduled the surgery. I was told we would be responsible for a balance estimated at$1,200.00. After the procedure we received a bill for over $3,000.00. I have contacted the office of Dr. Bruce Fieldman for explanations, or bill adjustments only to be told services were provided that were considered "extra" for what I was original quoted. Although I had no control to accept or denied this recommended treatments since they were preformed while my child was in surgery.

the best children's dentist. great staff. and the office is so much fun, my kids don't want to leave dr. buce's !!!!
