Doctor lahoti is the best doctor ever I've been going to him for 11 years. I have GERD and Is irritable bowel Syndrome. He has done 2 endoscopies and colonoscopies on me and the most recent colonoscopy which was done 3 days ago has diagnosed I have a grade 4 Hiatial Hernia. He recommended surgery but 1st a upper GI
will be done ,then he will recommend a surgeon to me to have it repaired. I highly recommend
Dr. Lahoti he is caring professional on point understanding the best gastroentrogist ever...

I was a patient of Dr. Lahoti’s for 9 years, everything was fine while they were taking my money. Before I moved, I scheduled a virtual appointment (Covid) to make sure there was never a lapse in my medication/prescription while I worked on transferring to a new doctor. When I called in to refill, nurse (Nancy) said “sorry, he’s not going to give you any refills (which I manage my Crohn’s disease with), he wants you to get it from your new doctor”...which I did not have yet!! I asked if they could just call in one month refill so I could avoid missed doses and flare ups, which they refused. So basically they would rather a patient that has been with them 9 years have a flare up in the middle of Covid times rather than bother to call in a month’s prescription. I asked her to have the doctor call me to discuss but that hasn’t happened and I won’t hold my breath.

I really like Dr Lahoti, but the Gastroenterology group , the telephone contacts the support staff and the system that they run is HORRIBLE! They were in a growing/transition mode for a while, but as they grow, things get progressively worse!

I have only seen Dr. Lahoti once since I am a new patient. He was extremely nice and attentive and answered my list of questions. I have seen several other Doctors about my diarrhea problem and he suggested new tests and ideas no one else has offered. I highly recommend him and his staff was very friendly.

Dr. Lahoti is a good doctor, but his staff leaves much to be desired. The receptionist to which I spoke, Jenna, was condescending when I tried ineffectually to make an appointment to have two tests which had been ordered by Dr. Lahoti. I made multiple efforts to schedule and finally gave up.

I first saw Dr. Lahoti in 2006. It is my understanding that he worked closely as a protege under the Head of Gastroenterology at St. Luke's before the other doctor's retirement. I am so comfortable with Dr. Lahoti. I love his "bedside" manner and professionalism with the tests.

I have since moved away from Houston and a hematologist in Huntsville discovered that I had developed nonalcoholic cirrhosis. She recommended I get an endoscopic ultrasound ("ES") and there are few doctors trained to do these outside of major medical centers; none in Huntsville, Bryan/College Station, Nacogdoches, Tyler, or Lufkin. Dr. Lahoti's mentor had diagnosed me with NASH and while I thought I was being very careful, I did progress into cirrhosis, unfortunately. I decided to contact Dr. Lahoti's office to see if they could recommend a doctor for the ES when I discovered on the website that it was one of his specialties. That's all it took. I called and explained that timing was short and very critical, and his office staff explained my situation to Dr. Lahoti. They called me the next morning to let me know that he agreed to do the ES and they worked me in within two days. My local physician in Palestine has been very impressed with his responsiveness and his thoroughness. Dr. Lahoti has helped save my life. I will be scanned by him every 3-6 months for the rest of my life, but I won't miss an appointment! It is worth every minute of my time and the inconvenience of driving to TMC for the scopes because he has my deepest respect and trust.

Dr. Lahoti is extremely knowledgeable and he makes you feel very comfortable. I was very nervous before I went to see Dr. Lahoti about my issue but he was very patient listening to my concerns and he never one time made me feel rushed. He really spent a lot time making sure I understood everything and ensuring I was comfortable. His knowledge and experience was very evident on how he explained the details of the issue and his advice on how to handle it. I recommend Dr. Lahoti to everyone. He is a very caring, knowledgeable, and patient doctor. In this field you have people, such as myself, very nervous and uncomfortable due to the nature of these types of issues. He really made the experience as good as it could be given the circumstances. Great doctor!

EXTREMELY attentive, patient and calming. Very thorough. Very straightforward and gives you information based on latest research data. VERY highly thought of by fellow physicians. He is also board certified in Internal Medicine, and trained at MD Anderson Cancer Center (?he may still see patients there, not sure). Staff is extremely helpful and patient also and they referred us to a general internist who was also extremely thorough and patient. You would have a hard time finding someone better!
