after several years and countless number of hours sitting in her waiting room , we are leaving her and going to a new family doctor . Dr Jarvis should be ashamed of herself the way she treats people making them wait in her waiting room and when you ask her or challenge her on why the wait ..she smiles and says she is busy ...more people need to stand up and voice their concern. If I did this to my clients I would be out of business !!

This doctor mis diagnosed blood work. I am in kidney failure and she did not call. This is totally irresponsible. I am calling the College of Physcians and reporting her. She is a quack.

There are countless number of hours I have spent waiting to see Dr. Tan-Jarvis in the years I have been her patient; hours I can never get back. The wait time is beyond unacceptable. I don't feel she overbooks; but rather the number of patients in the waiting room does not justify the protracted wait time. Take the time to find a doctor who understands that people do not have time to waste. There are clinics out there that work like an well-oiled machine. I finally found one. Zero wait time, a comprehensive health team of eight doctors and three nurses, 5 minutes from home., and a lovely family physician. Dr. Tan-Jarvis was fine, but there is a LIMIT to even the most patient of patients. Two to three hours in the waiting room IS unacceptable to see your family doctor; plus travel time. I am glad I looked elsewhere.

I don't mind waiting, but the wait time here is totally unreasonable (typically 2-3 hours). I have two young kids and a full time job....I don't have time to waste. Sometimes there are very few patients, but the wait is the same! The doctor is OK. Even though it is very difficult to find a family doctor these days, I have finally succeeded. My current doctor is closed to home and most importantly respectful of others' time and busy schedules. The wait time finally drove me out the door!

Dr Tan-jarvis was my Fam.Dr late +90 then she moved. she had treated me for Asthma at Crescent Town Health Centre. I made a claim to WSIB 26148162 therfore i had to get an affirmation to show she was the Doctor that Diagnosed me with asthma. I took 'he old puffer prescribed by Dr. Jarvis to her office she hasnt replied to WSIB since i last visited her and showed her the puffer with her name on it shes inept and is in denial. thats why E-Health is a problem. even the Minority Drs shun minority so i am.gibing her a -5. shes an incomplete Dr. if i dont get aa reply by Momday i am.goomg to take it up with College of Physicians i already have thr forms.

I was her patient for many years unfortunately. Her wait times have always been 2-3 hours. You need to take a day of work to see her. I've never waited less than 2 hours (with an appointment of course). THEN when you do see her, she only wants to address ONE issue. She will be upset if you need to address more issues and correct you about that. She also gets upset if you visit a walk in clinic. So, she makes it impossible and impractical to see her and when you visit a walk in clinic because there is no other option, she gets upset. She's delusional. My breaking point with her was when I spoke to her about an serious issue I had, which by the way was very tough for me to come out and speak about it, she replied with oh that's more common than you think and brushed it off. Personally, I think she is money hungry which is why she overbooks herself and constantly recommends more tests and visits. DO NOT GO TO HER. I found a new doctor and I wish I had done so earlier!

I was a patient of Dr. Jarvis for over 6 years and I can honestly say that, she has not helped me with a single issue. She is nice and will listen to ur problems, but she gives you endless tests for everything and when u go back to see her, she doesn't give medication or refer you to a single specialist, instead she asks u to ho get more tests done. It's a vicious cycle, that never ends.you need a day off from work, if u have an appointment. Waiting period is ridiculously long. Now when u wait for her like 2 hours, she only wants to discuss one issue and she gets upset, if u go to a Walkin clinic. Seriously??? Finally, I m giving up on her and looking for another doctor. Oh, I forgot to mention that once she asked me to undress as she needed to check something and told me to wait and she will be right back, but after waiting in the room for like 45 minutes, I had to call the reception from my cell phone and told the girls that I m waiting in the room fôr her... She ofcourse forgot !

i have been a patient of Dr Tan Jarvis for about 5 years, but I am also looking for a new doctor. The wait time is absolutely ridiculous....so much so that I would rather go to the walk in. But the final straw for me was when I went for an appt. regarding results from an ultrasound.(which came back normal...why i needed an appt for her to tell me that is beyond me) Since I was there I mentioned a sharp pain in my leg and back and asked if she would refer me to someone to have it looked at. She got annoyed and told me this appt was about my ultrasound....if i wanted to talk about my back, I had to book another appt. That said it all for me.

Traditional family doctor- took her time with me. Will always do a routine/thorough check-up in case you needed anything else. Responded to immediate situations and does her best to slot you in her schedule. Although her staff were horrible (not at all customer-friendly and always had abrupt attitude as if you're a nobody), I've known her all my life. She was an awesome doctor. Too bad I had to move to BC and now I have to look for a doctor just like her!
