I have been a patient of Dr Elliott since 2015. I have found her to be very pleasant, helpful and kind. If there is something she can’t treat for whatever reason she is happy to refer to someone who can. She is very prompt with appt times and I have never had to wait longer than 5 -10 minutes after my arrival to see her. She’s not afraid or hesitant to prescribe medications if needed and will explain when not to be taken with other drugs. She’s been very prompt to call and discuss test results once they are in. When I was hospitalized after a heart attack she came in regularly to check on me and helped to expedite further treatment in Victoria. I appreciate her, no complaints.

I have been a patient of Dr. Elliott for a number of years. She deals with myself and my children. With my children she has been amazing, however I only book them to see her when I know they have certain issues- such as ear infections etc. To get them in to see her on an more urgent basis, it is easier to go to urgent care or a walk in. The issues stem with her seeing myself. I have been dismissed and told on numerous occasions that the issues are not bad enough to warrant further investigations. I had swelling in my legs, and was told that it was due to the fact that I sat too much with my job. Went back with the same issue months later and was told that it was because I was on my feet too much. I have been told that mensural cycle is bad due to weight, however I am well within the BMI, and have been heavier and smaller all with the same issues. I feel like she does not listen or take me listening to my body in account when dealing with me. There is only one staff (who takes you to the room) that is kind to deal with. The girls that have been there for years are mean and often talk about patients while at the front desk.

I have got to say reading some reviews on here was very relieving, knowing i’m not the the only patient that feels that I am not heard, taken seriously or talked down upon. I have gone to Dr. Elliot my whole life and she has been my family’s doctor for years. My other family members do not have any problems with her that I know of thus far. Everytime I go with health concerns I am dismissed. I have gone several times for chest pain for the past 4-5 years for it to be “anxiety” although hypertension and heart problems are very profound in my family. Several concerns regarding lower abdominal pain also dismissed when I asked to see a gyno to rule out endometriosis or cysts etc. Basically was told I am not old enough when I have been sexually active for 7 years. The reviews regarding young adults being dismissed I could not agree with more. It’s upsetting when young people with mental health, substance use and general health concerns are not heard or understood but instead judged, dismissed and told to just stop doing what you’re doing without help or guidance. The only time I have genuinely felt concern or care was when she wasn’t in office and I had to see another female doctor who took noted my symptoms and concerns, she did a thorough exam and asked me many questions to figure out what was going on. I also have to note that when asking for a physical exam a full one at that to rule out any potential problems it is very brief and vague with Dr. Elliot. Just looked, swapped and then that was all. At the end of the day even if my concerns are anxiety based or a result of overthinking, if I am in pain and genuinely concerned I feel that my doctor should be also concerned for my health and should want to rule out any possible diagnosis.

I have appreciated my many years of having Dr. Elliott as my GP for her professionalism and individualized support. When I first met with her she was able to quickly identify a problem that my previous doctor missed for over two years; Dr. Elliott initiated appropriate referrals promptly and my concerns were remedied. I have typically found her to be compassionate and attentive while being direct and efficient in providing medical services.
