Just a great doctor very knowledgeable in his profession

I have been to Dr Caissie a few times now and will be looking for a new optometrist. I need someone to take the time to explain themselves and not just say a few cryptic things and rush me out the door. He recommended me to a specialist but left me with zero details on why I needed to go. He also said that this problem is undoubtedly caused by an underlying medical problem. So I asked my MD about it and she couldn't find anything after many different tests. I asked the eye specialist if this could be caused by an underlying condition and she said it was unlikely. In the end, it caused a lot of unnecessary stress due to him not giving me any detail even after me asking questions. He said the specialist can answer those questions. The problem with that was there were many weeks before I could see the specialist. I wish I have had the same success that others have rated him. Unfortunately, my experiences with him have been the opposite.

He is very friendly,professional and the best in the business.No worries when you deal with his clinic.

Been patient for over 20 years and he's the best around

I and my children have been patients of Dr Caissie for 20 years. He is excellent and so is the entire staff. 4 years ago, he diagnosed my son with a degenerative eye disease and referred him to a Halifax specialist. This specialist praised Dr Caissie for recognizing his condition at the early age of 16. He went on to say that most patients do not get diagnosed until they are in their 20s and there is quite a bit of irreversible damage. We owe him so much.

Before I made an appointment with this doctor I read the reviews. I was very disappointed. I found him to be arrogant and he couldn't stand still. I went to him for a second opinion. I couldn't get a straight answer. I also found out that there is gossip between these doctors. When i called my other optomotrist she new everything he said and did to me. I never gave him permission to dicuss me with anyone. That's too bad because I really wanted help and an honest opinion. I wouldn't recommend him.

Several years ago I experienced a severe eye problem and went to see Dr. Caissie, his treatment was amazing. He took the time to properly treat this condition and saw me every day for 2 weeks. I couldn't be happier with his service. Although I live in Nova Scotia, it is well worth the drive to continue receiving his care. I have been seeing him for about 15 years and plan to continue being his patient as long as he is in practice. His staff is the best around. An amazing man with a perfect "bedside" manner. He takes great care in treating his clients.
