Stay away from him. After telling me that I was loosing my daughter and putting me on meds for nausea I got a 2nd opinion. I delivered my daughter early by 3 weeks but she has become a wonderful young girl. She has learning problems due to the medications he put me on. I was not loosing her I had a infection. He has to be one of the most careless doctors.

As a result of poor hormone therapy during my pregnancy I suffered severe post partum depression. Dr. English missed all of these signs and while his explanations made sense and seemed reasonable, he was completely off the mark. Despite this I recommended him to my mother to have a lump in her lymph node checked. Despite all indications pointing to possible cancer he said that she was likely just fighting an infection and was fine. She has since (3 months later) been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Eric English is unreliable. I saw him in 2014 for a consultation regarding the mesh I have inside of me. He told me it was definitely eroding into the viscus. I requested my record from that visit and when I received it, it was basically worthless. It said my reason for visiting was for unspecified vaginal prolapse. It said NOTHING about mesh erosion. I called and asked for a revised visit summary. I got a revised summary all right. It said unknown reason for visit. These doctors don't want to get involved with the whole mesh mess. Don't bother seeing him if you want answers about your mesh!!

He's so nice and expertise perfect. Scheduled my surgery within 2 weeks of my first visit for DaVinci. Every doctor was telling me to have a hysterectomy. I had 9-11 large fibroids that very causing fatigue, bleeding horrible imbalance. Not only did he save my uterus,he got everything out and I'm perfectly healthy and trying to get preggo and shouldn't have a problem :) God Willing. Amazing doc.

So far I have lived in 3 continents and 4 countries and I can say without a doubt Dr. English is the best doctor I have ever had! A year after moving to the United States we very very excited to find out that we were pregnant. Since childhood, I have had this strange feeling and fear that during labor something might happen to my baby during labor. Now, here I was in a new country and searching for a new OBGYN physician. I didn't have friends here to call for a reference. Of course with my fears I wanted to find the best physician and I quickly was getting frustrated and depressed in my search. I found many clinics here to too busy to take an appointment. With some research I found a popular local OBGYN and made an appointment, my first since being pregnant, and was excited to finally end my mission. When I arrived at the clinic I was quickly again frustrated as the doctor rescheduled my appointment. Again, I was in despair! Now I was 6 weeks pregnant and I started having severe cramps. I was told by lot of clinics that I wasn`t able to get a visit before 8 weeks!! That was one of the most ridiculous and frustrating parts of the healthcare system in this country. I was getting mad and above all pretty concern about my pregnancy experience on this foreign land. I needed help and somebody to take care of me and my baby. Although my dear husband was supporting me emotionally in a terrific way, obviously I also needed a medical doctor to whom I could trust so that I could feel more safe and less concerned for my baby. I went to my computer and found a list of the 'Best OBGYN doctors in Minnesota'. Dr. English was listed in two lists that I found and listed as second and seventh best in MN. We made an appointment with Dr. English but I was still skeptical. I called Dr. English`s clinic and I got an urgent appointment. When I went to see him I was pretty worried about my whole pregnancy situation. Thank God that I have called him! He was just perfect. As he was speaking I started feeling that I could trust in his knowledge. But then there was more. The way that he was approaching to my every question and concern was so comforting, and believe me when I say that I had a lot of questions. As if he had a magic wand he was relieving my stress not only with his knowledge but with his caringness and kindness mixed with a great sense of humor. When we were out of the clinic that day my husband could`t believe the change in me already. I was relieved from my concerns but mostly for finally finding the right doctor. I had a super healthy pregnancy but I was still stressed about my labor. I wasn't concerned about the pain just the safety of my baby during labor. Finally the big day arrived! My water broke and we were quickly at the hospital anticipating our new addition! We were very comfortable at the hospital for the first 18 or so hours. My cervix would not dilate and the nurses and on staff doctors we doing all they could, but not much improvement. After the 36th hour we started to get very nervous. Our baby's heart rate started getting too high and we were being informed that we would have to have a C section very soon. My husband was trying to conceal his concern from me but I was noticing and started to get very afraid. Within a few minutes Dr. English arrived, We were shocked at his quick arrival and more importantly quickly relaxed as his calming manner took hold of the room. With a smile he told me that we were going to have a C section for the health of the baby. At that moment I was totally calm with his presence and reassurance. I was whisked away to the operating room and within a few minutes later we were holding our first son, Benjamin! It was one of many very blessed days that we have had with our son and we are so grateful to Dr. English! Now that Benjamin is with us, I am a very busy mother. I have had some natural and related medical issues since giving birth and of course still in the care of Dr. English. We have called the clinic with questions about my issues because finding time for appointments can be difficult with a 7 month baby. Dr. English has always taken time to return calls, and if I cannot get to the phone I often receive an email from him with follow up notes or asking for me to make an appointment at the clinic when necessary. This has been such a change from my first experiences when I was trying to find my OBGYN doctor. In summary, I started my search pregnant with no references, feeling isolated and stressed. But I was very lucky. Ladies, if you need a great doctor, I can with no uncertainty, recommend to you Dr. English. As my first sentence stated, he is by far the best doctor I have had!

Dr English is far and away one of the best OBGYNS in the area. He is kind, patient, knowledgeable and funny. I've heard horror stories about other OBGYNS in my area and was so happy to find Dr. English. I have been seeing him for 2+ years now and he has seen me through 2 gos with IVF and encouraged me to keep trying through both. We are now 20wks pregnant and I couldn't imagine seeing another dr. My husband so enjoys coming to my appts just to chat with this Dr.

Dr. English recommended a daVinci hysterectomy for me when it wasn't necessary. I went to my primary and he prescribed me medication and now I'm fine. Dr. English NEVER even offered this option. Just be aware of this if he "offers you a da Vinci hysterectomy as this surgery is his "special" via Web MD Magazine.

I had a short one time experience with Dr. English in the delivery room after my second child was born. My natural delivery was less than one hour, so the nurses and staff delivered me. Dr English, whom I had never met, walked in after my delivery. He was very unprofessional. I didn't know if he was a doctor or what his role was at that point. He did not introduce himself to me or even look me in the eye. I was in pain and scared after my delivery. Dr English said nothing to comfort me, just appeared annoyed that I couldn't just relax while he attended to after birth type of procedures. He asked the nurses to give me a drug to calm me so he could get done what he needed to do. I'll never forget him, but not in a good way. I wish he had shown some compassion for a woman who had a natural childbirth and needed more TLC after birth.
