Do whatever you can to avoid scheduling an appointment with him. The kind of doctor who thinks he can diagnose you by looking at you. Interrupted me several times, ignored anything I had to say against his diagnosis and even openly lied to me to get me to shut up and accept his diagnosis. Without once examining me, he told me to lose weight (a frankly absurd suggestion for anyone with eyes) and gave me strong antacid pills with no alternatives that gave me such bad gas I had heart attack symptoms. Do not go to this man unless you just want a pill and to go. He won't upcharge you to a more thorough exam, though. In fact, he lied to me, telling me that I would have to have a procedure involving general anesthesia right then (his PA told me we could schedule it for another time to ensure I actually had a ride) or not at all. His staff is wonderful and his PA does a great job of listening and working with you. Just. . . avoid this man like the plague if at all possible. Maybe he is okay to some people, but I could tell he did not think I was worth his time.

This is the absolute worst doctor I have ever encountered. Extremely rude; I had to repeat everything to him 4-5 times before he would acknowledge that he needs to write everything down; and in the end refused service to me after a research trial in which I partook in which had no relevance in the care that I required. His comments can be very rude and personal. I avoided making appointments with him and instead would visit his PA which did a much better job of offering the care that I required. This is not a doctor that anyone should ever visit, unless you enjoy being harassed while being interviewed.

My husband, who suffered a stroke, was his patient; but he spoke to me as if my husband was not in the room. Acted like he was doing us a favor. He was in a hurry to get vital information and did not like questions. Rude to his nurses. I would not recommend him.

was extremely rude and dismissive to his staff, very slow to respond to requests and very unhelpful. His treatment is taking weeks longer than necessary just due to the delays introduced by their processes. The Austin Gastroenterology practice won't let me switch doctors without a 2 week delay, which I can't afford while trying to manage a health crisis. This doctor's bedside manner needs help, but the practice itself is set up to encourage this kind of rudeness and inefficiency.
