This practice is only about money! We have wasted all our saving their bait and switch billing technique with no results. My complaint is about the billing practices and the rude and uncompassionate staff. They keep padding this $400 administrative fees every time we go although we have been patient for a while. We have spent approximately $22,000 on two failed IVF and each time the staff will not even bother to follow up with us about the result of the transfer. When you finally call to tell them the result, they immediately launch into this sales pitch about more fees you have to pay for another transfer with no emotions! For a business that is about compassion, this place is TERRIBLE!

Dr. Brown has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau because of hidden fees and dishonest business practices. Be extremely careful about entering into any kind of relationship with this practice.
Terrible experience. Treatment seems to be standardized and with the Lack of communication you feel you're throwing away you money. Their staff is disorganized and doesn't return calls. The main nurse we met was almost insulting and totally lacked compassion. I was on the verge of tears twice after I met her. All she does if push for IVF. Felt treated with absolutely no compassion.

This concerns the cruel and snobby treatment I received. Not about in house nurses or doctors. I loved my doctor actually. Hope was setting in again. How are you going to just drop someone for their health care? Way to go with patient follow through. Not! Very saddened and insulted. After reading the review below which I PRAY is not true.. I just don't understand the level of crookedness that goes on in this field. Suffering, REAL people! I don't know who runs all the shots here and have an opinion that it is someone behind scenes. Not Dr.Brown. How do you sleep at night? Oh, on pads of cash...Life is not all money and we reap what we sow!
My husband and I approached Brown Fertility Clinic after 3 failed IUI cycles at my regular OBGYN's office. Immediately, he discovered that my eggs were not of the best quality. So, he explained our options with care and gave us the success percentages for each option. We chose egg donation, and we were quickly scheduled for our cycle. We were happy with Dr. Brown, but there were a few communication challenges along the way with the staff. They were, however, wonderful and caring in the office setting. Wait times were sometimes normal and sometimes a bit longer than expected. After a few delays with the cycle, we almost reached retrieval. Then, we were informed that our donor had ovulated through the medications, and we lost the eggs for that cycle. We were devastated, but we met with the staff to discuss our options again. The staff immediately contacted another donor and scheduled us for the next cycle without the full charges-just my medications. We reached the end of our cycle, and I became pregnant with the implantation of only 1 embryo! We are very thankful to Dr. brown and his staff for our little "pea" growing inside of my belly! We would definitely recommend them to others.
I used brown fertility. They seem to be aware of women’s fertility issues but not men’s. My husband had an absence of sperm in his sperm analysis and taught help and direction form Dr. Brown. At the consultation he just said he was not sure what was wrong with him but never performed a physical examination on him. He said our only option was donor sperm. We checked in a year later for help and direction of what is wrong with my husband, again no exam and I keep pushing for questions and answers. Finally, exasperated he stated that we could try to see a urologist but that not to listen to them and don’t go on Clomid and there is really nothing they can do, that he is the fertility doctor. I did not even know seeing urologist is something we should even be doing and though they dealt with other issues, such as urinary track infections or other dysfunctions. He gave us a referral to a urologist who was horrible and I am assuming is a buddy of his. We immediately researched and found a better urologist who specializes is male fertility issues here in Jacksonville, she is wonderful. We are not in the medical field at all which is why we did not see one sooner, we were directed to Dr. Brown from my gyno thought that was the correct step. However, it was a nightmare getting my husband’s medical records transferred to the urologist. The urologist office contacted us and said that their offices would not send the records over. Even though it is the law they have to send medical records over. My husband called multiple times, politely asking them to send over. I finally called and then went down there on my lunch break and demanded that they be transferred. After the paper work was received to the office, it stated that Doctor Brown recommended that we see a urologist at our initial appointment over a year ago which is false, we were NEVER told this. Then only at the second appoint did he mention seeing a urologist and he warned against it. After Brent had an exam with the urologist, the doctor said right away you have varicocele (which is varicose vein) and that any Doctor even a general heath doctor could feel it and diagnose it. He needed surgery to correct it as not correcting it could cause it to shirk. She performed the surgery and my husband tested and it worked, he now has a low sperm count. This means we waited a year and half for answers that he should have diagnosed. He is on Clomid to assist with the count. We will still need help to conceive, but the fact is that we can now have a biological child. Had we listed to doctor brown, my husband may not have had the surgery that he needed, and we may not be have a biological child. Now we went back to see their offices for IVF as it really is our only option in town near to us and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. We started IVF treatment and could and and would not get any returned calls regarding questions and treatment until I threated to cancel my IVF cycle over it. We would have to call and mark the messages as high priority over three days in a row with both me and my husband to get call backs even though I was in the middle of an IVF cycle and needed call backs with questions. The bottom line is this office has no customer service and make an extremely difficult issue such as infertility even worse. They may be able to help you get pregnant but they are a nightmare to deal with. They understand medicine but not communication, customer service or human interaction. They were to my work and home which is why we used them as I have limited time off work. Just be pre-pared for this if you decide to use them.
I hac 2 failed IUIs znd 1 failed IVF treatment. I was under Dr Browns care for 3 years since he performed my robotic myomectomy (uterine fibroid surgery). I was highly disappointed bc I felt like a number. Everyone is put on the same cycle and youare sharing a room with two other couples separated by a curtain. No privacy what so ever. You are never told that your experience will be this way so it took me by surprise. We were out of money not sure what our next plan was and God sent us a miracle. We changed Drs and now we are expecting our first child. The new office/Dr was amazing and we felt lime we were their only patient.
Dr. Brown and his staff have always treated me with compassion and courtesy. Emily is wonderful and Jenna the nurse manager is an angel! No matter what my concern, I always felt like they took the time and really CARED. The staff has changed over recently for the better and I would recommend Dr Brown to anyone trying to conceive.
I LOVED my experience with Dr.Brown and his staff! I have PCOS and was never able to start a cycle by myself after just 3 rounds of using injections I became pregnant! I learned alot about infertility and the nurses where all very sweet! There is sometimes a bit of a wait but its not terrible maybe 10-15 minutes once they call you back. I only saw Dr Brown himself twice one for the patient consult and the 2nd for my pregnancy ultrasound. His staff took great care of me =)
