After weeks and weeks of no one (including physicians at Mayo and Hopkins) knowing what was wrong with me (I had been in a coma and was subsequently paralyzed), Dr. Hackenberg figured it out. I remain in his debt and just called him tonight, 10 years later, to let him know how much it means to me. Today I can walk, run (London marathon next month) and play soccer and Dr. Hackenberg played a significant role in the equation.

Dr. Hackenberg is very knowledgeable and is interested in finding out why you're ill and wants to treat you and get you well again.

While under the care of Dr. Hackenberg I felt at ease and comfortable. My illness was life-threatening and Dr. Hackenberg handled my fears and frustrations in a caring but professional manner. I will be forever grateful to him for all that he did for me.
