28/04/12 2 1 1 1 To me this facility should have the poorest of rating. It is basically run by hospitalists who have no true knowledge of their patients. It is understaffed. And, most importantly, they do not treat their elderly patients with the respect they have earned. Do not be surpirised if, without their knowledge or permission, an elderly patients care is changed or comprimised based soley on a doctor's choice. I have seen DNRs placed in files without patient's knowledge or signature

25/09/11 1 1 1 1 One of the worst hospitals in the state of Massachusetts!! MRSA is a huge problem, not surprising though. We witnessed staff, (nurses and doctors and other staff) not use gloves passing MRSA passing the bacteria from one patient to the next! They depend totally on ER admissions for their business! That should tell you something, hint, hint (that maybe everyone goes elsewhere for their care if possible!). They are also poorly staffed, low on supplies, poor care to patients, the list goes on and on! The nurses only seem interested in chatting and joking around while the poor sick patients are ignored. This we have witnessed too. I pity the company the is suppose to be buying them out... they have some serious investing to do to just get this hospital back to basics, never mind turning into a great hospital! Ask anyone in Taunton about Morton and all you get are bad comments! We have since re-named it Morton Mortuary as a joke! It is scary to think this is the only hospital in the area!
