I was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph's because of chest pain, vomiting and passing out. As they ran an EKG, they prodded and poked. EKG negative for heart. I asked 5 DIFFERENT ATTENDANTS/NPs/Nurses/Docs if it could be another internal organ, but I was talking to the wind. After an overnight stay costing $9k+, they released me in the morning, still in pain, with a card for another doc. I asked my family to take me to my GP, St. John's Clinic, on N. Nebraska (not fancy, but Dr. Chen knows what he's doing.) Dr. Chen after 2 pokes to my righ abdomen said it was gallbladder attack, sent me for an sonogram, and he was right. Total cost: $150. Dr. Chen: $45, sonogram: $110 at Tower. They say St. Joe's is a heart center, but maybe that micro-focus on hearts keeps them from seeing the gallbladders.
