Whatever you do don’t go here. Even the people in the waiting room with me were talking about how they should’ve gone somewhere else. Which should’ve been my first clue to leave but I was losing my hearing when I stood up and almost passing out so I couldn’t leave. I literally saw a poor little old lady who had fallen and had blood soaked into her white hair from her fall and she probably still had to wait an hour and a half before anyone even looked at her I felt so bad. I don’t know if it’s because they’re understaffed or what but from the minute I walked in their instructions were confusing and unclear and they make you hold your own pee sample for like an hour and a half which I thought was weird and gross and no hospital has ever made me do that before but whatever. Once I went back I had explained to multiple people that it’s very important I get a specific test done because all of their other tests won’t show the specific uti that I have that might be causing immense pain and might be causing an infection to have gone to my kidneys and I got home after having to remind them of it like 8 different times just to see that the TEST WAS NEVER ORDERED. I called to try to get it ordered and the person I spoke to said since none of the three people who should’ve documented that I needed the tests didn’t document it that basically I’d have to come back in to the ER AGAIN or she could “text” the doctor who had gone home and call me back. Guess who never got a call back? Me 🙋🏻♀️. On top of that they noted things horribly in my chart and gave me diagnoses and medications that I don’t have and don’t take. For instance they said I have diabetes, PCOS and POTS. All of which I DO NOT have. One of the doctors was also weird and basically tried to tell me that I might have type two diabetes and then he left for the night. This was due to glucose being found in a urine sample (sorry if that’s tmi but it’s important) you know what else can cause that? KIDNEY ISSUES. But he assumed because of the body I am in it might just be diabetes and left for the night. Come to find out I don’t have diabetes, I have had (I informed Dr. Woods of this) and still have pre diabetes and funny enough it’s actually improved since I last checked it. Even the new doctor who came in to take over my case because his shift was over seemed a little confused as to why he had said that Dr. Heileson said “it’s not like it’s up in the 200’s” and laughed. The staff or doctors also would say I wasn’t experiencing things when I was that are important to document if someone has a kidney infection. Saying things like I didn’t have flank pain or vomiting or chills (all three of which I had). My wife was literally hooking me up to stuff and taking better care of me than the staff was and I don’t mean to harp on the nurses or cnas because I understand they’re really busy and understaffed but I’m more so pissed at the hospital and at the doctors how am I going to pay an arm and a leg and you’re going to not even take the one test I needed. Shame on Intermountain for not paying nurses and cnas more so that you’re not understaffed and causing your patients to suffer and you’re going to have the audacity to charge inhumane amounts of money for the tiniest of things on top of it all. If you ask me I think the first doctor Thomas J. Wood was just fatphobic and sexist and didn’t understand my condition and didn’t want to listen to a woman telling him she needed a test done and for that he’s an awful doctor. My second doctor was a woman by the name of Heather L. Heileson and she at least listened and was willing to learn ( I showed her the test that I had needed through my u of u app so that she could know what she needed to order) and she didn’t have anything against ordering it so I don’t know how the ball was dropped this badly. I’m never going to this hospital again and I will be telling everyone I know not to go here too!

McK-D has the WORST telephone tree ever. They do not answer phones. How can one get an appointment when phone system is broken? It is a mess!! They have remote people responding to patient phone calls for in house doctors offices. This does NOT work. I had to find a doctor outside this system and pay out of pocket. My ins would cover IHC panel Drs but what if they don't answer the phone?

Once a wonderful hospital caring for patients. Now it is a terrible facility. Poorly qualified doctors, who do not understand English and write false medical reports. They are neglecting patients. My loved one laid in painful medical condition and her attending doctor, Peach, did not see her once. Ibarra was another doctor and she did not treat her as well. McKay-Dee Hospital in conjunction with their Select Health Advantage is inhumane. Their negligence in patient care is horrifying! My loved one was traumatized by the doctors and the hospital.

my mother was brought into the ER at Mckay last Tuesday night. Dr Jeffery Caldwell was the one working but we never saw him the whole time my mother was in the ER. the nurse that helped my mom was curt and rude. His report for her said she broke her shoulder but didn't need surgical right away. We are currently sitting in Lake view hospital bc Dr Hendry squeezed her in for a TOTAL SHOULDER REPLACEMENT last night. I was thoroughly frustrated with the help fr the ER last tuesday night. Dr Caldwell should have let the family know and he should have spoken with us. it's truly unbelievable how bad our visit was last Tuesday. i do not remember the nurses name but she had a speech impediment and she was so rude and curt. I was really taken aback with her attitude.
