My husband did a minor invasive procedure last month and though he was fine after they did things that I find to be wrong. Firstly, the doctor was Violette, he don't have any bedside manners or any manners at all, afyer the surgery he didn't come and talk to me to let me how things went, I witnessed him replying to a nurse saying Good Morning very rudely, when I was in the room for the follow up 2 weeks after the procedure, he didn't even acknowledge that I was there. My husband also asked if the follow up which involved the removal of something from his body and his reply was and I quote" not for me" with his arms in the air and and evil grin on his face, then the nurse proceeded too add not for me either. I found both their behavior to be very inappropriate, unprofessional and uncaring. Secondly, I think it should be common practice for if a hypertensive patient is having and elective procedure where general anesthesia and intubation is involved, they shouldn't be told less than twenty minutes before their procedure as well discussing the risks that comes along with it. Thirdly, I don't understand why a family member can't be on the pre-op holding room/ area before the procedure but you can go in that same room when they're in recovery, is it because of the doctors fragile egos? Lastly, I believe that they used a drug that caused some amnesia, he don't remember anything from his recovery not even things that he told me. I believe the doctor exaggerated the truth and influenced my husband to do something that may not have been necessary. When you go there, question everything that you're told.

I fell out of a Jeep. Fractured my skull. Gravel all over me. They made sure I was well taken care of. I never wrote out to the people that saved me before, but thank you. My face was half off. It doesn't even look like I fell out of a Jeep anymore. Everyone was so nice and I know I was on morphine but I really do appreciate all of you! <3

I don't usually write reviews but when it comes to hospitals I have been to some good ones and some really not so good ones. I had to go to the Woodstock emergency department last night for a debilitating migraine. I have been to other hospitals periodically over the years for migraines and have had different experiences in each hospital. Here are the good things I would like to say about this hospital. The intake process was fast, I really like that once you are in the waiting room you have a screen that shows estimated wait time. The wait time last night was better than other places I have been. Once I was put in a room my nurse Chelsey was so wonderful. Very friendly and accommodating making sure I felt comfortable and explaining what was going to happen and the doctor that was going to be seeing me. Unfortunately I can't remember the doctors name due to my migraine, but I liked that I could understand him and he was able to answer my questions, thoroughly checked everything and also made sure after administering medication that I was comfortable enough to be discharged and go home. Definitely one of the better experiences I have had when having to go to an emergency department. Even though I can only comment on the services as I don't know enough about the other aspects of cleanliness, facilities or value I had to put star ratings on them in order to be able to post this review so I put 4 stars each as I really don't know. But I can also say I have had to also get a couple CT scans done at this hospital as well and have had great experiences with wait time and friendly service. My husband also had to use the emergency department once for an incident and also had a good experience there with friendly staff, good wait time and friendly knowledgeable doctor.

I guess when you get older, you get both cranky, have no filter and you have a say it as you see it when it comes to your personal experience. Unfortunately I had to misfortune of a stroke in April 2024. Arrived in woodstock hospital in the middle of the night. Unable to speak, no saliva and not able to walk. Met by nurses and emergency doctors within minutes to confirm my symptoms; A stroke. For the next several weeks, I gave more blood for testing that the mosquitoes were complaining I had none left once I got released and returned home. My room cleaned daily and my belongings most respected. The food, well, let's not. Everyone knows about hospital food and diets. The nurses I met were very kind and treated me excellent. The doctors on my floor too busy but met with me daily to speak on my condition. A battery of tests, more scans and we knew the type of stroke, possible damage and treatment needed along with medications and rehab had things moving along quickly. My mental health was in jeopardy because of my new condition and not able to move my left side. I felt completely useless, however staff made sure my situation didn't worsen although I'm sure most go through this feeling of doom and gloom. The rehab staff was extremely helpful despite my not being able to walk. My rehab team really cared about all facets of my health, mental to mobility. Overall, I was a wreck and although I felt completely disabled, woodstock hospital stuck with me and "repaired " me to the point I could continue as an outpatient in their other Rehab clinic. It was most difficult picking up the pieces but I can truly say without the people at Woodstock hospital and each of their skillet, I couldn't have made it through. I was in the worst possible mindset at that time. Unfortunately I can only speak of my own experience in woodstock hospital stay this year and please know I do not write any reviews lightly. My say it as I see it doesn't usually sit well for those I write reviews on. However, I will definitely make the exception today. To all I wish you good health. Should you find yourself in woodstock hospital, please know I feel you will be in good hands and back to good health again soon.

The worst hospital as a registered nurse, the staff is incompetent manipulative show no sympathy empathy for our senior citizens. Despite the fact the hospital is newer belt, the old hospital in Woodstock at its old location had better care

Very well maintained, relatively new (as far as hospitals go) and easy to navigate to your department. My son had surgery there in 2012 and staff took the time to teach me about my son’s aftercare. They were kind and informative. I have had two separate MRI at Woodstock General. No waiting once you arrive. The MRI runs 24-7 every day. The radiology staff are great! My son’s father attended Woodstock General after he suffered a stroke at 49yo. All of his aftercare and rehab was done at Woodstock General with state of the art equipment and updated methodology. 9.9 of 10!

most of all communication is sooooo poor. nurses roll their eyes if you want to talk to them. no careplan. beds barely fit through doors in the ER. supplies are never availables. nurses respond to callbells can be up to an hour . they have treated my family member as having dementia, but this family member passed cognitive test. nurses yelled at the family member several times. other family member was send home cause no one on staff to do an ultrasound to check for appendisitis. That this hospital may call itself hospital. Every admission of my familymember has been a bad experience. no showers given for 4 weeks. also no hair combed. never helped with drinking. yelled and screamed at. so if me as a familymember did not help with showering it would not have happened.

Had to use ambulance service and emergency room. Both services were excellent. Thank you nurses and doctors. Do not remember names except for caring dr. F Kamal . There was also a young lady doctor with a lot empathy and very helpful. Thank you very much for taking care of me. Urszula Krzewina

Never thought I would have to say this but awful. Recent hospital surgery and errors and incompetence that were frightening and discouraging. I am heartbroken about the level of care at this once very good hospital. Overstressed with too many people requiring service? staff morale?.....difficulty staffing with physicians and staff?....very discouraging.
