I've been Seeing Dr Fu For about a year and 1/2 He has really looked out side the box for curing some of my issues and has done really well for me. I think he is a great doctor.

I've been seeing Dr. Fu for 2 years now from the Sandstone/Thornhill offices to his new Westwinds one. The new staff is definitely an improvement over the old ones, who took forever and many phone calls later to get a referral to a specialist for my 4 month old son. I asked for a referral for myself at the new office when I took my son in for a check-up and he had it done in no time even though he didn't have my file with him at the time. We have mostly seen him for my sons regular checkups since he was 6 weeks old, and have been impressed with his great bedside manner with our child. I have noticed he has tended to over-prescribe for some mild conditions, however I have either chosen to not fill the prescriptions or waited to see if the condition worsened before filling it.

My uncle was in pain and went to the neighbourhood clinic (in Sandstone) at the time and after consultation Dr. Fu immediately and promptly had an ambulance transfer him to the hospital. This was life saving as my uncle had had a heart attack unknowingly in his afternoon nap. Dr. Fu's quick and educated response was pivitol in saving the life and health of my uncle. Dr. Fu is also my own personal doctor. His patience and genuine care as a doctor far exceeds many who just see patients as a number or meal ticket from Alberta Health Care $. In this state where it is so hard to find family doctor's I'm very happy to have him as mine.

Dr.Fu was extremely rude to me and my elderly mother when we went to see if he would take us on as new patients. We both have major health issues which require a medical doctor. He refused to take us on and said we were "too complicated". What kind of Doctor says that to patients. I would never recommend Dr. Fu to anyone I know and hope that no one else has been treated in the same manner.

I'm handing out high ratings for punctuality and staff based on the care I've received since he's moved over to the Westwinds Practice. (I've had similar experiences to others at Thorncliffe and Sandstone) SO MUCH BETTER NOW!!! Really helpful as a doctor, set my mind at ease right away when I found him just over a year ago and appears to be genuinely interested in your health.

Dr.Fu is an incredible doctor. After going through numerous bad family doctors, I find that Dr.Fu will sit and listen, not rushed and actually cares. He tells you why he's putting you on a medication and why he thinks you don't need one. He is almost always running behind but at least you get quality bed side manner.

Dr. Fu is very personable and listens carefully to our issues. The problen is that referrals are never done, you have to keep going back constantly to remind him. To try to see the Specialist, it took me 6 appts at his office - which are usually an 1hr to 3 hrs waiting time. The reason for those appts were only to remind him the referral still didn't come through. I usually try to wait a month and then return to see Dr. Fu if I haven't heard from the specialist. The first talk of seeing a gynocologist was in Jan 08 and I'm still waiting - so that's a year now. Getting very worried and unable to find another doctor who takes patients. Please don't tell us you're doing a referral Dr. Fu if you don't intend on following through!!!!! Could it be the staff? Very unhelpful - loses everything.

I found this entire office to be a gong show and switched MDs. Had to fight to get an MRI, was told it was scheduled, later found out it was not and was set back 2 months. Had to consistently pester staff to get MRI results. Was supposed to be referred to specialist but never heard back. Was given an array of meds but no solutions.

Dr. Fu is an AMAZING doctor. I have seen him for over 2 years now and am very happy with his bedside manners. He sits and listens to your issues, lets you explain. He doesn't always rush out with the prescription pad either. He treats you like a human has a personable conversation with you, never makes you feel stupid. He explains the medications you are taking what they are doing etc. I quite like this doctor he has taken care of many issues with me. He had solved my chronic headache issue, and now I am medication free thanks to him! He has helped me with my anxiety issues alot too!

I am quite happy with Dr. Fu. He is very personable and we have been seeing him as a family since my daughter was born in 2005. He is also administering my prenatal care for baby #2. My complaint might be that referalls take a long time but I guess that might be normal! Also, I do not like his office staff. I find them rude.

The staff at Dr. Fu's office are extremely unhelpful. My MRI was lost, and after weeks calling MANY times to see if they had found it or had got another copy issued, I called the hospital, got all the information and when the person in Dr. Fu's office called, they faxed the test over the same day. When my condition worsened and I went to Dr. Fu for help, he told me that he thought it was "all in my head" but that he would get me an appointment with my specialist. I had to visit him a second time a month laster to get him to make a new appointment because the first one never happened. After reading other people's comments I believe that Dr. Fu would be a great doctor for children, but for any serious problems his office staff will cause you nothing but problems.

Dr Fu seems to be a knowledgable man, but his office staff is beyond rude, idiotic and incompetent. Appointments for specialists and tests are never made in a timely manner. I have never encountered such unprofessionalism in a professionals office. I thought that answering the phone was a given talent but apparently not for this lot.

I sought Dr Fu's care after seeing that his office was taking new patients on the CHR's site. He is very personable, and quick to address any concerns I have, no matter how minor. He is quick to prescribe, but also open to alternatives if you just ask. He's also great with children, my daughter loves him and he has been very thorough with all of her regular check-ups.

My wife and I have seen Dr. Fu once. Prior we had no MD but our cardiologist insisted we get one. We walked across the street to the strip mall and there he was. Seems very interested in what we have to say and ordered a complete work-up as a basis for our files. He is pleasant to talk to, takes a joke well and does not appear to be a solemn, pretentious kind of a person. He is not very old, I would think he is about 30 years or very little more, has a good command of the English language and we are looking forward to the next visit in this initial work-up.

Dr Fu is a great GP...his office that he operates out of leaves a lot to be desired to say the least. I became a "patient" so that I did not have to be a "walk in" customer and everytime I call to make an appointment I am told to just come in and be a walk in patient. Another thing is the medical forms that I needed for my short term disability started out from one page at 50.00 then i had three pages , these were 60.00 to have filled out. I went back a second time to have the "three pages filled out again and was told that the fee is 80.00 i of course refused to pay and said i'd pay 60.00....is there no regulation as to how much they can charge and that they should provide a price list for consistency???

Dr Fu is a very enthusiastic person who actually seems to be interested in his patients. Would be nice for him to be a little more proactive but is any doctor that way inclined now?
