Dr. Lewis saved my husbands life! No sugar coating, several doctors sent him home with multiple fractures in his spine and a bone infection. He was transferred to Dr. Lewis’ hospital and had emergency surgery the next morning. Without Dr. Lewis’ expertise, kindness and best bedside manner I’ve ever across, my husband would be dead. He is my hero, now and forever! His nurse practitioner is a different story altogether.

This review is about 17 years late. I went into the office in the most pain I have ever experienced in my life. Somehow I was positioned flat on the MRI which reflected L5/S1 disc issue. I could barely walk & couldn’t stand up straight. They doubled my pain meds & said they were shocked I was able to walk into the building based on my MRI & X-Rays. They literally scheduled me for surgery the next morning. I prayed over every one who came in contact with me that morning prior to surgery. That was in 2005. It’s 2022 and I haven’t had a back problem since I came out of surgery. I haven’t taken any pain pills for back issues. I know I followed all the post op directions to a fault even those I disagreed with. Guess it’s different for everyone. But figured I needed to add my ongoing 5 story to the list. James in Jackson - 4 marathons later!

I wish I had known of this site when the person who had chiari back in 2009 posted. I too have chiari and he doesn't know a thing about it. He googled the results from the mri. I was floored about my brain and he just kept talking. Next thing I know he is asking surgery or shots. People with chiari that are unstable are not suppose to have the epidural shots. I learned this after something went wrong with the second shot. I was feeling pain when there shouldn't of been pain but that doctor told me I wasn't feeling nothing. How can someone tell me how I feel when it's my body? I played it and let him continue to get it over with. Then when I am being checked out by the nurse I moved my head wrong and she snatched my head back down. That was the wrong thing to do. Then lie to my face. Oh course I showed out and refused to let anyone else touch me and refused to sit down in the wheelchair. I was branded compative and drug seeker. I may of been wrong for my action but no one snatching my head around for any reason. I'm a domestic violence victim who has had my face and head beat in many times and I seen what she did as a threat. She will probably second guess doing that to someone else again. But after my money ran out, so did the doctor. I was left with not nothing a thing and no referral to a chiari specialist. By I was ignorant to the fact I suffer facial paralysis, partial paralysis in upper and lower extremities, debilitating lower back pain that has left me spending 80% of my day in bed. He has no understanding of disability he will just write patient is disabled, unable to work. I do understand that he was under a lot of pressure with the lawsuits but that shouldn't effect his work. I also believe that the chiari malformation that is on the website needs to be taken down. That is misleading and THERE ARE NO SPECILAIST IN MISSISSIPPI. Don't let these hospitals and clinics tell you other wise. I've called before and had the nurse to say "huh?!" I hung up on her. I may be good at back surgery but chiari he is not. BE WARNED.

Jan. 2010 had surgery -wanted an artificial vertebrae put in and he said there in no such thing. They might be experimenting with it; but it would be years before there was one for use. Did spine fusion and it went VERY wrong. It is so bad that I could not get another doctor to fix it. The spine institute even said they couldn't do anything. So now I am broke-left leg paralyzed-still severe pain-no quality of lift what so ever. And according to another review in here. There was an artificial disk he could have.

I had a micro diskectomy in 2010. I have been miserable ever since. The pain was so bad when I woke up they had to use 4 shots to mask it. If I were you I would not go to Adam Lewis. Even before he did the surgery he said we may have to put one of these in - referring to an artificial vertebrae. This guy is not the one you want. Go somewhere else. This was the same Adam Lewis on 20/20 news for CAUSING multiple surgeries. Still in terrible pain. Took no time with me to discuss the problem. If you see good reviews be wary!!

Please do not let this man (I'm using that word very loosely) preform any type of surgery one you or a loved one. He has a very nice charming way about himself. It took me six months of several close death experiences to see through him. Luckily I fired him as my doctor. Found an amazing doctor & Two weeks later I had anther surgery to correct what Dr. Adam Lewis didn't do correctly the two times he preformed brain surgery. I know that people read these things think that maybe they shouldn't pay attention to ratings.... I know bc I was that person!! I wish I would have listened to what his other patients had to say.
