I would suggest St. JOSEPH'S if you need a hospital in Hamilton. I took my son to the Henderson - now Juravinski- hospital early one morning 2a.m. because he couldn't get his breath. They took him in quickly and placed him in an oxygen tent and said they would return in 20 minutes. The nurse did return in 20 minutes only to notice she forgot to turn the oxygen on. My son was fine, apparently being outside in the evening air was all he needed. I am so glad his condition wasnt one that required oxyge. Because the outcome could have been totally different.
On a second occasion I took my same son to the emergency at the Henderson for a skateboard accident. Not life threatening so I expect3d to wait. Around midnight the doctor put a cast on my sons ankle. On the way home my son starting crying because the cast was sobtight. I took him back to emergency where a different Dr removed the cast and said the ankle was still swelling. He asked that we go home with crutches and return in th morning for a new cast. When we went back the next day a different doctor reviwed the xray from the initial visit and said there was no need for a cast as there was no fracture. If the cast hadnt been put on so soon my son would have worn a cast for 6 weeks for an anklee that wasnt broken. Like I said, try St. Joes.

The staff I have dealt with are primarily surgeons, specifically at the Juravinski site. I have found them to be irresponsible, inept and immoral. They shun accountability, practice reckless behaviour on a regular basis, then lie to cover their tracks. If at all possible, I strongly encourage anyone to seek treatment elsewhere-or practice extreme caution. This is a dangerous place
