There are not enough words to describe just how awesome Dr. Farnam is. I feel like a new person today due to the robotic surgery that he performed on me 2 weeks ago. I had a prolapse, rectocele & cystocele that he repaired for me and I cannot say thank you enough to him. I am highly recommending him to all of my women friends. He is very easy to talk to and he listens to what you have to say. He is so caring and that is very rare in doctors today. I was amazed when there was no pain except for the gas pains in my chest area. He inserts a small tube into the stomach that administers pain medication into the stomach to help with pain. I was a little sore but really had no pain. It has changed my life and the way that I feel. Thank you Dr. Farnman and I also want to thank his staff. They are all so very nice.

Dr. Farnam saved my life. I had been suffering with heavy bleeding for 3 years. My other doctor would rush and just out me on birth control. Not Dr. Farnam. Dr Farnam took his time to really get to know me. He ran so many tests to find out what was wrong with me. Dr. Farnam found that I had diabetes, I had no idea. He also found out that I had cysts, fibroids and endometriosis. He went over every since test he did, discussed my options with me and my husband. He removed endometriosis and fibroids. I was back to work within a week. I feel tons better and I have my life back! Dr Farnam is a true God send. He is a wonderful doctor. Dr. Farnam always gives me 100% of his time, he never rushes. I never have had to wait long during an office visit, but if I did, the wait would be well worth it. My only regret is not going to him earlier. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Farnam to anyone suffering with "female" problems or just looking for a new gynecologist. He is the absolute best. ;)

I experienced long waiting periods in the office, now I understand why. Dr Farnam doesn't allow a set number of minutes per patient visit. He spends as much time with each patient as needed. I was very anxious prior to surgery. Dr Farnam answered each question that my husband and I had with compassion and concern. I had the three port robotic hysterectomy and went home the evening of surgery. I had an On-Q lidocaine infusion pump in place for five days to keep me more comfortable. I took Motrin for three days post-op then used Tylenol occasionally for pain. In my opinion, Dr Richard Farnam is a highly skilled surgeon and expertly uses the latest technology in the care of his patients. I feel very blessed to have Dr Farnam and his staff in the El Paso area. Mary, retired RN

Dr. Farnam is a perfectionist: which is a good thing for a surgeon. His staff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He diagnosed my problems-combination of pelvic support problems- and ran 3 necessary procedures before he did the surgery. He explained clearly to me every procedure and made sure I was confident to have the hysterectomy and burch procedure . My recovery was quick, relatively painless and I am a new woman at 57. I recommend him to anyone who needs female surgery.

Dr. Farnam is a fine physician and a good listener. His concern for the total patient as a complete person with many and complex issues and concerns. An examination is thorough and thoughtful. Recently he did surgery on me and I could not be more pleased with the outcome. I recommend him absolutely and unequivocally.

I now refer to Dr. Farnam as my Godsend! Excellent Doctor! I don't think I can say enough good things about him because I can't believe how great I feel and I owe it to him! He is a specialist in his field and shows compassion towards all his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I went in for pap test and he was very comfortable to talk to. He was professional. What I really needed was HRT and found he was not knowledgeable about horomones like I had hoped, so I found a PHD of pharmacy at Medtime who specializes in hormones.

I highly recommend Dr. Farnam for gynecological surgery. Three other doctors told me that I needed a hysterectomy, but I put it off for over 10 years. Dr. Farnam was the first doctor who actually ran tests to determine exactly what was wrong. He performed a complete daVinci hysterectomy with pelvic reconstruction. I only had pain for 48 hours but it was controlled well with the medication Dr. Farnam prescribed in the hospital. I did not have any more pain, just soreness for about 2 weeks. Then I just felt better and better every day until I would forget that I had just had major surgery. I am now completely healed and feel so much better! I'm sorry I waited so long to have the surgery, but really glad I waited for Dr. Farnam. He has a great bed side manner and is a very competent doctor. El Paso is very fortunate to have this caliber of doctor. His office staff is very caring, efficient and friendly.

if any of you are considering gynecological care i must urge you to see Dr Farnam! i am a RN and been in healthcare for close to 35 years. i can count on one hand the number of physicians i would recommend and Dr Farnam is at the top of the list! i had a total hysterectomy along with the removal of both ovaries. i was able to arrive early in the morning, have the procedure, awake by 10am, walking by noon and home by 4:30pm. i had one day of discomfort and that was due to excess gas. the truth is i had more discomfort from my lasar eye surgery than from my hysterectomy! Dr Farnam is absolutely the leader in this type of surgery and has a warm caring wonderful bedside manner as well as top-notch caring staff! i moved from texas to iowa a week after surgery and in a bikini at the beach 5 weeks later. i am now just 8 weeks post op and leaving tomorrow for Africa to volunteer for 4 months. THANK YOU Dr Farnam and all the wonderful staff at Texas Gynecology & Lasar Surgery Center El Paso Texas!
