Dr. Haddad was wonderful, gentle, reassuring, and skilled. She operated on my daughter, and was thorough and made us feel that she would be well cared for. She personally came to talk to us in the waiting room after the procedure was over, and her kindness at a difficult time was exactly what was needed.

Outstanding cardiac surgeon, I owe my life to her. She walked me through a very complex surgery and broke down my condition into something I could understand. She then executed flawlessly which led me to a full recovery and allowed me to return to my prior hedonistic lifestyle.

my husband was sent to Dr. Haddad when there was a funny thing on his chest x-ray. Dr. Haddad saw him quickly and was able to diagnose his cancer and have him ready for surgery. All this time she was gentle and helpful and compassionate. Dr. Haddad did the surgery and it was all done with cameras and we are now happy and cancer free 3 years later! I am so very glad that we found her (My husband is obviously very happy too!!)

She saved my son's life! I am very grateful to her. My son had a very unusual condition when he was one year old. The doctors at Sick Kids had no idea what it was on his heart so finally Dr. Haddad did exploratory surgery. She was able to solve the problem and my son is totally healthy now. I did notice that it states she works at Sunnybrook hospital but that’s not the case anymore I think it needs to be updated

My husband had been experiencing a bad cough for a while, and after seeing his family physician who performed an X-ray was referred to Dr. Haddad for a shadow on his lungs. His appointment with Dr. Haddad had been scheduled for a friday afternoon just before a long weekend. Dr. Haddad showed great empathy when dealing with my husband as she could sense his apprehension about a possible negative diagnosis. She took the time to stay late on that Friday afternoon to read the CAT scan to reassure my husband that his condition was acalasia and not something more severe. She could sense that my husband didn't want to worry all weekend. After my husband had his surgery, which was performed by Dr. Haddad, she came in to thoroughly explain how the surgery went. Throughout the process, Dr. Haddad was extremely attentive and very professional. She made sure to explain everything in great detail. Fantastic doctor!

Upon arrival at the hospital, the other Doctor gave me 10% chance of living. Endocarditis had damaged 3 out of 4 valves in my heart, one lung, kidney and liver. Doctor's said I wouldn't make it through surgery. Dr. Haddad was contacted on her vacation. She said to try some things and would tend to me on her return. Her suggestions made me strong enough for her to work her magic. She is always courtous and professional. Her work amazes other doctors. You are truly fortunate to have this woman on your side.

How do I put into words how grateful I am that Dr. Haddad saved my daughters life? She is an angel on earth and I will forever be grateful. Dr. Haddad performed 2 surgeries on my newborn daughter. She is a very skilled and dedicated surgeon who has devoted her life to saving kids, both in canada and abroad(heads up Charity org. that performs surgery in developing countries). She had a very reassuring, confident way about her and this gave us tremendous comfort and confidence while we waited for our daughter. Shw also came to meet with us right after the surgeries. My daughters Cardiologists can't say enough about what a great job Dr. Haddas did to fix my her complex heart defects and I get to live with proof of her miracle work.

Dr. Haddad recently performed multiple by-passes on me and I was very impressed by her professionalism both before and after the operation. She "de-mystified" the operation for me and filled me with confidence that she would do what was necessary to give me back my life. We are indeed blessed to have such a marvellous surgeon in our midst!

After the angiogram at TWH I was sent over to Dr haddad. From the moment I met her, her manner was very calming, she seemed to know apprehension. She clearly detailed the pro and con of the surgery, triple bypass March 4th. She used her influence on that day as EKMO was in effect. She visited daily while in cvicu, and on the fourth floor. An excellent team in OR 4, she chuckled when I asked for the closing/suturing "Hollywood Style". I donated under "hosptial heros" in Dr. Haddad's behalf.

Dr Seham Haddad is in a class of her own. She has operated on my mother and my brother - both having severe heart problems - both made wonderful recoveries. Sitting in her office you are surrounded by her numerous accumulation of awards and accolades, which is very impressive considering how young she is ... yet she has no inflated ego, and is the most respectful and kindest of women (as well as the very BEST cardiac surgeon!) We should all thank our lucky stars that she practices in Toronto and has not been lured away to more lucrative pastures!!
