Biography

Pathik grew up in Ahmedabad, India. He attended and obtained his Bachelors of Physiotherapy degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India in 2006. While studying, Pathik participated in many health related programs including the Orthopedic and Sports Injury Rehabilitation Program, and the Neurological Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehab Program. After completing his graduation, Pathik worked in a multidisciplinary hospital as a Chief Physiotherapist for Seven years. During his tenure of work, he was managing the physiotherapy department and supervising support staff. He has expertise in physiotherapy techniques like Exercise Therapy, Soft Tissue Release and Joint Mobilizations. He has ample experience working with patients with orthopedic, sports injury, neurology, cardio-pulmonary and pre and post surgical needs. In 2013, Pathik immigrated to Canada and started preparing for his Canadian Physiotherapy Licensure. He upgraded his skills and education to comply with Canadian healthcare context and successfully passed physiotherapy licensure exam in 2014. Now he is a registered physiotherapist in Ontario, Canada. Since 2015, Pathik has been working as a registered physiotherapist at the Spectrum Healthcare, and Om Sai Physiotherapy clinics, Toronto, and has recently joined our team at iWellness.ca Rehab & Wellness Clinic. Pathik enjoys treating all types of injuries but some of his favourite conditions to treat are sports related injuries, shoulder impingements, low back pain, knee pain and work place injuries. He uses an individualized treatment approach that combines manual therapy, patient education, specific exercise prescription and training. His aim is to restore joint and tissue mobility, re-establish appropriate movement patterns, improve function and minimize the likelihood of injury reoccurrence. Besides a Physiotherapist, Pathik is also a good sportsman, playing Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Cricket. His aspirations are to travel, meet new people and continue to learn and develop new skills. Pathik is fluent in English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, and Sindhi.
