I had the pleasure of being under Dr. D’Costas care for a periodontal stem cell bone graft surgery in June last summer. He was very transparent in telling me my options, what my future dental outlook would look like with and without the surgery, and was very understanding in making sure that undergoing the surgery was my choice. I am just over 20, and at the time I was informed about heavy gum recession, bone recession, and bleeding on the severe end of the periodontal recession scale. After my post-surgical appointment in February, Dr. D’Costa said my bone graft results are the best he’s seen in a long time, he even had to double-take in measuring my restored bone levels in my gum tissue! Not only do I feel more confident in my dental outlook for the future, but I am incredibly thankful for Dr. D’Costas expertise, transparency, personability, and understanding. Thank you Dr. D’Costa!

I have had fun surgery with a different specialist who is now retired and had two different consultations that was no comparison to Dr. D’Costa and his professionalism as well as thorough explanations of my condition. The procedure and my healing have gone well and can say that I’m even happier with my gum grafting this time more than the first one I had elsewhere.

I underwent a gum grafting surgery with Dr. D'Costa last year. But before visiting Dr. D'Costa, I had a few other consultations regarding my surgery with different doctors within the GTA. I left all of those appointments feeling more frightened about the process than when I first came in. I felt that all of my questions were not answered, and I did not feel that I was fully prepared to go through with the procedure. However, after my first consultation with Dr. D'Costa, I was instantly put at ease. He was patient when answering all of my questions, he walked me through the procedure, and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. During the procedure, I felt that it did not last too long and due to his technique I almost forgot how big of a procedure he was performing. After the procedure was complete, he was there to answer every question I had via email or phone calls (regardless of what time of day I asked him) and continuously reassured me that all was well. From the first meeting right until the very last, Dr. D'Costa showed a professionalism and proficiency that I could not find in other periodontists. He made what could have been a difficult and scary process, into one filled with so much ease and comfort.
