I've been going to this dentist since 6yrs old. One of their new hygienists, whose name I didn't catch (and she wasn't even listed on their website last December) had the worst bedside manners I've experienced as an adult. With x-ray equipment in my mouth, she has the nerve to ask me "do you have dental anxiety?" Due to the presence of cavities that I was already aware of. As if I can answer with that equipment in my mouth. She actually laughed at me after she asked the question. No, not in a playful way, she was pretty condescending the entire time. So, and this is ALREADY ON MY PATIENT FILE, because I've been coming to this office since I was 6, I have SOCIAL anxiety. And depression. And ADHD. Also, now, because I'm an adult, I smoke and drink caffeine to self medicate these issues. I've had braces as well. Probably that orthodontic history has something to do with my teeth being stained and full of cavities, lacking in enamel. I should NOT have to explain my mental illnesses to some hygienist I've never met before. She seemed so pissed off to even be there. Your new staff needs an attitude check and I'm absolutely seeking another office after about 19 years because of her, whatever her name is. Bye.

I had the misfortune to have had a crown done by him six months ago. It took 2 appointments and both times he was conversing with the dental assistant during the entire procedure, when he should of been paying attention to what he was doing. When he placed the crown he didn't take the time to correct my bite, and this eventually caused me some jaw pain and a chipped tooth due to my misaligned bite. So I went back for further adjustment, and he still wasn't able to manage a proper alignment, as the pain continued and grew worse. The office was closed over Christmas, after which I went to another dentist.. She took her time and corrected my bite, and I felt much relief. However a week later there was still some underlying pain so she referred me to an endodontist. My dental nightmare has lasted for 6 months now and cost me much time, money, and peace of mind, and it's not over yet. Don't go to Dr Chambers if he is the only dentist left in Victoria.

Dear Dr. Chambers, I just can't seem to feel comfortable calling him 'Rick' due to my father an eye specialist . . . 'respect' over 'familiarity'. Excellent dentist. Decent, kind, 'preserve the tooth' over drill it / replace it / yank it. He was one of those dentists who took away my fears and enforced my trust. My teeth by his hand look great & are strengthened. 💜 Likely by this year, he'll be retired :( Three stars due to his second wave of front desk staff who were older and ogres, their energy, can't explain it. New staff now, and super !
