Been with her 20 years and I am in near-perfect health thanks to her management of my T1 diabetes which I've had since 1986. Though over-extended like so many doctors in the quebec system, she has maintained patience, vigilance and you sense that she actually CARES about you.

I got referred to a different endocrinologist last year but the staff at the Queen E gave me an appointment with Dr Kudo since they had a slot free. I was there after a blood test showed signs of thyroid issues. She looked at the results and expressed her annoyance at my doctor for ordering so many tests (?). Even though my TSH was higher than normal, she told me I don’t need medication. I told her I was so, so tired. She told me it was probably because I ‘wasn’t working out enough’. At the time, I was working out 4-5 days a week. Wonder where she got that idea? Oh, yeah, I’m fat. I told her I was strength training a lot and she looked flustered, then said that I need to do cardio too. I went without treatment for another six months and started having trouble swallowing. My doctor ordered an ultrasound and found a ton of nodules. I got another referral to the endocrinologist I was supposed to see. He prescribed medication after he told me that my levels were actually quite high, and that the standards for thyroid levels have changed. He also ordered more tests and uncovered two additional endocrinological issues — one of which I asked Dr Kudo about but she wrote that one off as well. I get that no doctor can get everything right all the time, but Dr Kudo clearly made a decision based on her negative perception of my weight and based on outdated information, and didn’t bother sending me for more tests. If you’re fat, get a second opinion.

Dr. Kudo has been looking after me for more than 20 years. If I remain in top shape at age 71, despite my late onset diabetes, it is thanks to her knowledge, caring, and sound counselling. Likewise for her staff both at the Royal Vic and at the Qeen Elizabeth and to my GP, Dr. Stan Blicker and cardiologist, Dr. Edward Adelson.

She is a great doctor and cares about be patients. The support staff also is great at what they do. I have been followed by the Metabolic Day Centre since I was 18 years old and was originally followed by Dr. Yale. Since I was switched over to Dr. Kudo years ago, I have been extremely well taken care of. Thanks to Dr. Kudo and her staff!

Dr Kudo has been treating me for over 15 years now and she keeps me working at it, and is very specific when she feels that I am not focussed enough on my diabetic management... She is most helpful when answering questions and gives solid direct answers. The staff are also very involved and go out of their way to keep you informed of latest developments in managing the diabetic condition.

Been with her for Diabetes, 10 years now. She's the best. Went through 3 other endo's before her. Trusted Dr. Kudo from day 1. Ate them all for breakfast. This doctor and her team know their stuff, are thorough, and have an intuition as to the right tests.

Dr. Kudo is one of the better doctors in Endocrinology, and has a good practice at the Royal Victoria Hospital, in the Metabolic Day Care Centre on the 9th floor, M Builing. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and addresses them all.
