This doctor is not a good listener and shows little empathy toward patients. I left appointments feeling overwhelmed and without clear solutions or alternatives. The professionalism is disappointing. Sadly, due to the shortage of family doctors, we end up having to put up with this

What a horrible experience. I work in health care. I have never seen such a cold physician. Lacks empathy. Acted as if I was bothering her. Believe me, if I didn’t have to see a doctor I wouldn’t, so if I am coming to see you it is for a good reason. I wish that doctors would go into medicine to help people. It does not look like she likes her job. Sad for her, me and her patients.

I find myself overwhelmed with a profound disappointment regarding my experiences with Dr. Chow. The encounters have been marked by a consistently rude and dismissive demeanor, an alarming lack of empathy, and an unwavering commitment to a diagnosis that is wholly incorrect. The disregard for my concerns, coupled with disparaging comments, has created an atmosphere of extreme discomfort during my medical interactions. It is disheartening to feel unheard and disrespected in a context where trust and understanding should be paramount. This level of unprofessionalism has compelled me to make the decision to discontinue my relationship as a patient under Dr. Chow’ s care. I believe that a healthcare provider should prioritize, confidence, active listening, open communication, and empathy—qualities that, unfortunately, I have never experienced in this medical relationship. I sincerely hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and lead to a reflection on the part of Dr. Chow about the impact of her approach on patient well-being. It is crucial for patients to feel heard, respected, and understood, and my experience has regrettably fallen short of these fundamental expectations!

She misdiagnosed me years ago when my doctor was not available. Thankfully I trusted my gut and saw someone else. Fell on her again today, same coldness. We always feel like we’re bothering her. No empathy. No initiative. Forgot to check something and I had to remind her. Basically told me I have a virus but that she can’t prescribe me anything without knowing what it is. And offers no testing, no advice or recommendations other than to back in a week to see another doctor. I thought I was in a comedy skit. Completely useless visit. I’m back home in agony, 2 weeks of pain, and will be getting a second opinion—again!!

This doctor is really not helpful. Refused to renew a prescription that has been prescribed to me for the last 20 years. And she provided no solution. Her solution was to ask if the pharmacist would help me. I told this to the pharmacist and he was kind enough to help me with my prescription based on my history but he also couldn’t believe that the doctor would answer that.

Excellent doctor. I don't speak French very well yet. However, the staff and the doctor were able to communicate with me in English. Dr. Chow was patient and explained to me in detail the result of my tests.

She is really good at communicating with patients, and she def knows what to do. I am so glad she became my family doctor.
