Dr. Garg is very knowledgable about treatments and side effects - I saw him for the rare skin condition hidradenitis suppurativa. He supports patients doing their own research too and will weigh the merits of your ideas. The first few times I met him I thought he was being brusque, but it's actually efficiency not rudeness. Occasionally you'll first be checked out by a rough-around-the-edges intern, but it's not a big deal. Get his email address if you can, as he's quite good about replying promptly - except when on vacation, if it's urgent and he takes more than 24 hrs on a weekday then call the main line to try and get an appt with another dermatologist.
