I love Dr. Spires and appreciate his gentle manner. I too wish he had referred me to a periodontist earlier. Other than that, I think he is smart, gentle and kind--- good qualities in a dentist.

I went to him for years and also thought he was great until he finally (after years of casual offhand comments re. gum recession) referred me to a Periodontist. By that time I needed 3 surgeries and when I switched to another dentist discovered that I also had 7 cavities. At that time I had seen Dr. Spires within the last 6 months. I do not think 7 cavities developed in 6 months.

I have been going to him since I was a kid and he had the dental van. Now my husband and son also go to him he always can recall what you talked about at your last visit. His prices are great compared to most dentist. He is very good with kids. I hope he continues to be a dentist for years to come.
