I encountered Dr MacKay at Emerg in Fredericton NB recently. She seemed to assess meticulously and explained to and counseled me very thoroughly. She was calm in a busy situation and gave me the time I required to formulate questions, then answered them in a very organized way, adding useful suggestions to the essential answers I needed. She seemed to care about my welfare and her quietly helpful demeanor left me very favorably impressed.

My husband and I have been patients for 3 years now and are saddened that dr mackay but turkey understand her calling to another part of Canada! She has alway been attentive to our needs and had surpassed expectations as a Dr. We are thankful and appreciative of her knowledge and her humbleness to redirect us to the higher knowledge. Thanks Dr Faye and you will be missed!

Dr. Mackay listens quietly and is proactive with referrals. She presents with a caring knowledgeable attitude. She is always on time and our family is very lucky to have her.

I lived with un managed chronic pain for years. Opioide after opioide and refusal to believe I had a problem as there was no apparent cause. 2 visits into having Dr. McKay as my family physician she comes up with a potential pain management solution. Which turned out to work perfectly. Every issue we have brought to her she has had answers for. She is not a chatty cathy and if youre going in to whine or tell stories she is not going to put up with you for long. If you want a doctor who actually will find a way to help and go out of her way to help your family. Then Dr. McKay is absolutely amazing.

She is always on time or even early for our appointments. She has been extremely patient listening to my concerns about my kids and is willing to refer out when and if needed. We are very happy to have her as our family doctor in Vernon.

Beware of this Dr. and her inability to solve patients long term health. She zones out. Can’t express herself and is easily overwhelmed by anything beyond her narrow scope. She terminated a 84 yr old female when my daughter asked why she would not order a new CT Scan when there is a known blockage after a year of ER visit repeated tests showing no improvements. In my last appointment she casually informed me that I had a heart attack over a year ago and when asked why this was the first time she’d told me she chose not to answer me. She refused to order an MRI to see if my blockage was getting worse and when pushed to order different test by my daughter to protect my failing health she used her voice to say “I am terminating you as a patient “. Dr. MacKay will take your BC Medical Fee and give up on you if challenged. But because there are not any other doctors accepting new patients she will continue to hurt and possibly cause harm to the patients she has promised to “do no harm to “ Beware of her staring at her tv screen while she types without being able to connect to the very person in front of her that she is there to take care of. Shaken and alone tonight.

She took the time to properly assess me, something emergency did not do on my first visit. She sent me back to emergency and phoned ahead to let them know of her findings.

I am so glad to have her as a doc she’s is great .

Lucky to have her as our family doctor,she doesn’t hesitate to get you to the right person if she can’t help. Very quiet but listens to every you tell her. Excellent Doctor!!

We were very lucky to be able to get Dr. MacKay as a doctor here in Vernon. She has helped my family deal with both emotional and physical traumas and has always been amazingly empathetic and knowledgeable. She truly cares about her patients. She has taken every concern seriously and reassured me through some of the most difficult months of my life with no judgment. My whole family likes her. Despite her quiet, contemplative demeanour she puts people at ease and you can tell she really cares. We are lucky to have her.
