After more than 25 years with Dr. Johnson as my family doctor, I was told he only sees concierge patients now when I called for an appointment for extreme dizziness with high blood pressure. When I asked what that meant, the lady who answered the phone simply answered, you were sent a letter. I had to pry to get the details about what it meant and through several questions, I was told that it costs $2,500 a year which provided for same day visits, no appointment needed, and parking close to the building, all while still billing your insurance and collecting your copays. When I asked if Dr. Johnson could perhaps make an exception given my condition and that he had been my doctor for close to 30 years, she told me to hold. Didn't ask, just said I have to put you on hold and click. Someone else got on the phone after a few minutes and said, so you have a question. I said, so I need to go through everything again or did that person tell you anything about my call? I learned this person's name was Donna and she basically said sorry, it's Dr. Johnson's new business model and called me, "honey" when saying goodbye. Very, very sad and disappointing to have relied on, confided in and trusted someone for so very long only to be tossed out like a pair of old shoes simply for $2,500 a year. And very sad to experience the low customer-friendly people Dr. Johnson has on staff these days. My last visit was July 2022 and the switch to concierge was put in place less than a month later I learned. What a courtesy it would have been to have been given a heads up during that visit or a follow up call to a letter that was supposedly sent, versus being told when in need of care. I would have given a rating of 1 except that I still care about Dr. Johnson and his wife, Lisa.
I have had difficulties over the years with the receptionist at this doctor's office, which has led to me leaving after over 20 years with the same doctors. This has been very frustrating, as the receptionist has seemed to have a power trip and has not been willing to assist me with certain requests, such as having the doctor return my calls or allowing me to have a telephone appointment. I have also felt uncomfortable speaking with the receptionist, as I would rather have the doctor answer my questions. Despite these issues, I have generally had great experiences with the doctors at this office. They have been knowledgeable and professional and have provided me with good care. However, the poor customer service, lack of compassion from the receptionist has made it difficult for me to fully utilize the services. I would suggest that the office consider providing more training for the receptionist in order to address needs of the patient and ensuring that issues are resolved with a non-bias attitude. It is important that patients feel heard and respected, and that their needs are taken into consideration. Overall, while all my difficulties are with the "gate keeper" receptionist the doctors themselves have provided me with great care. I am respectful of my doctor's time. If you can get past the challenges with the receptionist, this office may be a great option for your healthcare needs. It is understandable that you would want to minimize the amount of time you spend in the office, and having a doctor answer a quick question rather than taking up and hour of their time seems justifiable. My true believe is my mom could still be alive today if it were not for these gate keepers that prevented my mom from seeing her long- time doctor, over a change in her insurance. She passed at 65. Their comment when she tried to get an appointment with Dr. Johnson was that he does not take new patients. Yes. I am bitter as she was my best friend and I feel Dr. Johnson would have been able to diagnose her condition earlier if she was able to get in to see him. She was not a new patient.
my husband and I have been patients for 20 years. There aren’t enough words to say how terrific he and his team are. Caring, knowledgeable, professionals.
I’ve never had a doctor that listened as well as Dr. Johnson. His reputation is the best, because he is just that!

Has been my Dr for over 20 years and I moved north and drive an hour to see him or the PAs. He is worth any amount of time you have to wait because he provides each patient their one on one time, truly listening to their complaints. I don't trust anyone else with my health.
I used him for a few years. Then his office staff changed and they were no longer the compassionate and helpfull people he had working for him originally. Having a nasty staff has an effect on care.
Dr. Johnson is the best doctor. He treated my Dad for over 20 years and during that time time I observed a doctor who gets to know his patients on a personal level. He takes time to understand the issues and is one of the best diagnotic doctors. My father had many issues and had some of the best doctors. When we needed answers Dr Johnson was the only Doctor I trust. Now he is my doctor. He has helped with issues that other doctors had trouble diagnosing. He is unbelievably knowledgable, a fantastic listener and a caring doctor.
Dr. Johnson is a great doctor, He answers all of my questions with great confidence and I feel as thought he is knowledgeable in the information that he gives me. He has a great bed side manner and never makes me feel rushed or hurried, so that he can get to the next patient. His office staff is very friendly and accommodating and helpful with all of my (many) requests.
Great doctor has kept me healthy for many years ..I would rate him as a doctors doctor..on a scale of 1..to 10 ..10 being high I would rate staff and doctor a 10...
