23/01/14 5 5 5 5 Dr. T is the best... None compare. Been working with him for 2 years now. He did everything before risking surgery but surgery was inevitable due to constant re-injury. Thank you Dr. T.. The Big T.  Respond

13/11/13 4 5 5 5 I was referred to Dr. Bella after being diagnosed with Peyrone’s Disease. Treatment involved a series of verapamil injections. The injections helped reduce the amount of scar tissue significantly -- to the point that my erections are now near normal, thereby eliminating the need for surgery. Dr. Bella took the time to explain the issues and treatment protocols in a clear and concise manner without using a lot of medical jargon. I would have no misgivings in recommending Dr. Bella to others with similar medical issues. (The only issue I encountered involved a couple of mix-up/scheduling issues with appointments for the injections.)  Respond

01/11/13 5 5 5 5 Had surgery after my prostate cancer treatment left me not having any erections. He did the 3 piece implant last year. Unbelievable guy, makes you understand everything about surgery, your options, what happens after surgery. Gives you everything on paper so you have it at home. He even gave me his cell phone number to call him if there were any things I was worried about after surgery. Everything works perfectly, better than my wife and I expected. We are both so happy! Sure makes our winter spent down south much more fun. Never thought I would get back my sex life after none for four years. Thanks Doctor Bella! Hope I don't see you for 15 years or more now. Look for a bottle of wine at Christmas for your wife at your office if you read this.  Respond

19/10/13 4 5 5 5 My brothers both have Peyronies disease. One brother was at more than 90° with lots of pain, underwent the pills, injections, and traction and more than half of the curve resolved, he can have sex again. My other brother was worse to start off with, did the same and got halfway better and then underwent the 16 dot surgery that Dr. Bella learned in California and also has his sex-life back. I was too chicken to see a doc about my bend until I found out by accident that my brother did not have a hernia repair. I saw Dr. Bella, we went over things, and I got really lucky as my bend was up into the left almost pointing back to me and with the pills injections and traction it looks like I will avoid surgery because everything is working pretty well. I will not ever be perfect but it really happy. For the guy below, doc made it clear that 5 or 6 out of 100 guys who do pills needles and traction will still get worse no matter whatand need surgery even maybe with the implant pump gadget.

21/09/12 3 3 3 3 As my penis is now deformed from the treatment, i strongly recommend against the verapamil injections. Unless your peyronies case is severe, i would say look elsewhere and do not take the risk. I would not want anyone to experience what i have gone through since the injections. Yes he is a nice guy but i don't see a lot of success stories here, just personality compliments.  Respond

02/05/12 5 4 5 5 Over the last 25 years I have seen many specialist for different reasons and I know and appreciate that doctors do what they do because they care, what I have also found that some care more than others and Dr. Bella is certainly one of them and I can’t thank him enough for not only the care he has given me but also his honesty and humor. I also agree with one of the other comments that he sometimes runs behind, THIS IS ONLY DUE TO THE TIME AND CARE HE GIVES EACH AND EVERY PATIENT, he is the BEST on this planet.  Respond

20/04/11 5 5 5 5 Lively, easy-going, frank, clear. Most considerate to patient & family, e.g. phoned FROM OPERATING ROOM so she wouldn't have to worry even one minute more. Also arranged prompt operation vs waiting a messy, unhealthful but Canada-style 3 to 4 months. Dr Bella's exceptional capability & manner prompted my first large donation to Ottawa Hospital. 27/10/10 5 5 5 5 My initial , and only so far, contact was a phone call. He took my call as I have a "rare " male disorder " Peyronies Disease". He is cutting edge in treatment having studied and worked with Dr. Tom Lue at the Univ. of California. Dr. Lue does only Peyronies. I am seeing a prominent Urologist in S. Ontario but Bella said that doctor was a top notch ED / Prostate specialist , NOT a Peyronies Specialist. He helped get me an appointment in Toronto with one of the only 5 PD specialists in Canada. As a result I was booked in as a new patient here 4 months ahead of the current appointment availability. Dr. Bella told me to call or email him if ever I have any issues requiring his advice. He also said I could see him in Ottawa any time I wanted to make the journey. I was sooo impressed with him. Such an important specialist that took the time to speak directly with me and arrange for an appointment here with one of his colleagues . If any reader has this condition , Dr. Bella is your man  Respond

06/10/09 5 5 5 5 I have seen this doctor half a dozens times now, and its no exeration that he is truly outstanding in terms of his knowledge and expertise, but also his level of being able to bring such a sincere and friendly attitude to his patients. He was lured from Calfornia to work here, so our gain and their loss. Quite frankly one of a kind who sets the bar at a new level. The lengthly wait to get your first appointment is well worth it.  Respond

13/08/09 4 4 5 5 The doc to see for male health issues (like ED, post-prostate cancer rehab etc)in Ottawa and area. Up to date on all aspects of care. Great at understanding patient needs. One downside -- it takes a while to get an appointment but that is the Canadian health system for you. Well worth it b/c there is no one else in the city (or area) that would be comparable. On a personal note - he is a nice guy. Yes, he sometimes does run a bit late (even significantly)but that is related to the level of care you get and the rep with the patients.  Respond
