I had emergency ovarian surgery after being diagnosed a high-risk patient, and Dr. Romanovsky and her staff offered zero followup. I have had nothing but complications since the surgery and now live with chronic abdominal pain. Think twice if you are a high-risk patient or require followup or aftercare.

I wish I could give Amanda 5 stars but there is absolutely no way. I had a high risk pregnancy due to incompetent cervix. I am thankful she referred me to a doctor for a cerclage, which I got. However, she never took the time to actually read the post op notes from that cerclage. She “removed it” at 35 weeks but didn’t actually remove it properly. Her hope was that the rest came out in labor. I asked her a few times if she thought i had the more intense cerclage and she always said no (news flash, i did - and i KNEW I DID)!!!! Cerclages are NOT supposed to remain in longer than 36 weeks. I went into labor around 37 weeks with constant horrible contractions. I went to the Royal Alex twice because of it & was sent home both times because my notes said my cerclage was removed by romanovksy. The nurse even made an excuse that “well your cervix was just too high to get to go remove properly” excuse me, what? I asked the doctors at the alex a few times if it was possible that my cerclage was not removed properly as I was never dilating more than 2cm and my history is having a baby at 24 weeks when my cervix opened to 6cm without knowing. The docs assured me that the notes said it was out. Come 40 weeks, I was in so much pain and in full blown tears from constant awful contractions and other pains that my family told me to go to a diff hospital. I went into Grey nuns and within an hour they realized my cerclage was fully in tact. 1 spinal, 1 epidural and 2 OBS later - my cerclage was removed and I instantly dilated to a 5. The doc there said I was maybe one hour from my cervix completely tearing. Dr romanovsky was so non-chalant the whole time and never read my post op notes which had 6 steps on how to remove the cerclage. She put me and my baby at risk and was extremely negligent. I am deeply disappointed with the Royal Alex. The nuns figured out my cerclage was still in after one cervix feel and the alex had felt my cervix 100s of times when I went in with concerns. Dr romanovksy / Kirkham I’m sure has read my notes but has yet to reach out in any manner. I had my baby at 40 weeks and thankfully he is healthy but he was showing signs of distress (meconium). The grey nuns is where it’s at. Not the alex.

One of the best Doctors in Edmonton. Very Knowledgeable and kind. After experiencing five miscarriages. She took care of 4 pregnancies two of them high risk.

My last visit was over the phone because of Covid, The call was eariler than expected. She remembered my issues from my last pregnancy and was super through with all my medical problems and the steps to take. Even was prepared for pre-emptive measures. 100% glad I get to see her again for my next pregnancy. I love her humor and her responsiveness.

My pregnancy was via donor egg and Romanovsky and her staff tragically bungled it from the beginning. There was a very strict written regimen of medications that she was provided by the donar clinic and agreed to follow. However, she was not once on time prescribing them. The pharmacist at London Drugs that I was using also had the list of meds and dates, and she tried so hard to get Romanovski to meet the deadlines, to no avail. I would call in to the doctor's office alerting them that the dates were approaching because they kept missing them. I was treated like a nuisance. She was often away although I'd been assured she'd be on top of things. I had to take my paperwork to several other doctors BEGGING them to help keep my babies alive. Because she was the physician of record they would help once but told me I'd have to go back to her. The massive stress and missed medications due to her incompetence resulted in me losing one of my twins and blood clots in my leg. I was on crutches for months while pregnant and grieving. Luckily my GP found me another ob/gyn who was lovely and far more knowledgeable. Romanovsky should never be involved with another high risk pregnancy, she can't handle it.

Dr. Romanovsky has been there for me through the most difficult time in my life. Not only has this been a challenging time for myself, it has been for my (now born) son. I was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder that ultimately caused a lot of complications for myself during my pregnancy, and Dr.Romanovsky was highly recommended by my OBmedical doctor. My pregnancy was high risk and very complicated, Dr.Romanovsky was very organized with each and every decision she made regarding myself during my pregnancy, the delivery of my son was a very complex, planned induction in which multiple teams of doctors were involved in the planning; Dr.Romanovsky made sure she was there every step of the way, and the birth of my 4th and last child was the most stressful, however, it was by far the best experience I had all around. I can’t thank her enough for keeping me safe during my whole pregnancy and delivery. If you’re looking for a Dr that’s invested in your care and wellbeing, look no further.

Had Dr Romanovsky for a complete hysterectomy. She is fantastic, and her student doctor is equally the same. Would recommend her.
