I was very fortunate to find Dr. Daniel at a time when male doctors dominated and I was a rare client with progressive aggressive heart disease at a time when Male Cardiologist believed women did not get heart disease. When I met Dr. Daniel she rated high in intelligents, knowledge of women getting heart disease when male cardiologists said women do not get heart disease”. My heart disease was vicious and I believed my life was saved when I met her. We have been allies for over 30+ years and if it was not for Dr. Daniel I know I would be dead. Dr. Daniel treats her clients with the utmost respect especially women who were 3 rd class citizens as per male specialists back then. Dr. Daniel is a true pioneer in Heart everything and I know I would not be alive today had I not found her when I did.. Dr. Daniel is THE most caring, committed and capable Dr. I have ever encountered. She has never rushed me and on one occasion took quite a bit of time to answer my questions. This education helped me calm down in a way that I cannot begin to tell you. Dr. Daniel is totally respectful, kind, smart, up to date in her clinical knowledge, committed and available, as is her amazing assistant Theresa. At Christmastime, 1996 Dr. Daniel was the duty cardiologist when I was admitted at Toronto General at age 39 after having a myocardial infarction. After three days of monitoring, treatment and extensive testing, I heard the most chilling words ever spoken to me come from her lips: "Mr. xxxxxxxxxx, we don't know what is going on in your case." Those words were even more chilling than the resident's statement upon admission: "Mr. xxxxxxx, you have had a heart attack." When the MD's can't figure it out, you start making your peace. I don't know much about cardiology but I am a competent judge of people's inner character. Her previous personal remarks had already confirmed her in my mind as a person of the highest integrity who (as was later proven) would consult with other physicians to confirm not only what she knew, but also what she didn't know and must find out about my medical condition. She also performed the most agile piece of medical full disclosure that I have ever witnessed when in a conversation about my post operative condition she said: "we also found an aneurysm that we didn't know about going in. The surgeon removed it." If you are fortunate enough to be treated by her consider yourself blessed and obey her instructions with the utmost rigor. Nineteen years later I am alive to prove the effectiveness of her advice, knowledge and diagnostic skills, which can only have improved in the interim. I have rated "staff" at only 3 stars because as a former Toronto resident now permanently living in a warm part of the United State (and enjoying better health & wealth than I could have expected in the Ontario climate), my American cardiologist had the devil's own job extracting my relevant medical records from the maws of the Toronto Hospital's archives and the Byzantine complexity of Ontario's disclosure law. For this Dr. Daniel has no responsibility whatsoever.

I met the lady almost 10 years ago when I had an emergency. Dr. Daniel is one of the best doctors I met in my life. She is kind, warm, knowledgeable, pays attention to details, but above all she listens to you. She takes her time to discuss your problem and explains to you what's wrong. She cares. She is a great cardiologist. In my long life (75 years) I met just a few doctors like her. Her secretary, Theresa, is excellent and kind as well. This is an opportunity for me to say Thank you.
